I think it may end up being a benefit for both. It will only allow anticipation for the game to build. There was such a backlog of great games to finish the year, it will probably work out for the better.
Table Tennis is a game everyone can enjoy. It's a blast to play, and you don't have to pay anything over the price of the console to be able to enjoy a game immediately. I thought it was a big mistake by MS and Sony to move away from bundling a game. How sweet was it back in the day to get your NES and have Mario ready to play right out of the box? Nintendo continued that tradition this gen with Wii Sports. It's good MS and Sony are following suit.
I had a feeling this game was going to be great. It's hard to ignore all these great reviews from just about every possible source and critic. I will definitely be getting this one. Rapture, here I come. 8)
Megadeth would be awesome. So Far...So Good...So What?, Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction. That would be killer.
I was just saying Master of Puppets, but Ride the Lightning would be sweet, too.
someone must have hit Lars on the head to agree to that. That's awesome news though...a very nice addition to the game. Hopefully they included something from Master of Puppets, but I somehow doubt it.
this game keeps getting more and more intriguing. I can't help being drawn in to the uniqueness of the setting. I've always been fascinated by underwater scenarios anyway, so this one had me from the get-go. A definite must have.
you missed Splinter Cell. 8) I think there's alot of people that hate Halo for similar reasons why people start hating really successful sports franchises (Bulls, Patriots, USC, Miami, at least here in NA). People get sick of one thing being great for so long. I think if people want to hate it, fine. But, at least respect it for being a dynasty franchise, to borrow a sports term.
they haven't been making games on the PS3 for years. I'm not saying that's truly the problem, but PS2 and PS3 development are much different. They may never come out and say what the real problem is. Mud slinging against either of their platforms would not be wise at this point. It just sucks that the game is delayed.
x=1?
on one hand that just downright sucks for everyone. On the other hand, meh, it just means one more AAA title next year. Like I've said with all the Mass Effect delays, it will be well worth it if they get the game right. That's the most important thing. Good things come to those who wait...that was probably made up by someone who had to wait alot just to make themselves feel better. Oh well, what can you do? There's still plenty of great AAA titles to go around this year.
they are referring to a HDD (Hard drive), not an HD-DVD player. It won't be necessary to have an HD-DVD player to play games, but it may be necessary to have a HDD.
the thing is, Core users were using some form of storage for game saves and XBLA downloads to begin with. Either they bought a HDD, or a memory card. If all they bought was a memory card, they're not really out that much if they have to upgrade to a HDD. So, it doesn't really seem like big news to me. Realistically, how many gamers out there play a game and not save it? I would imagine they would be in the extreme minority. I agree with you EliteGamer, a reduced 20Gb HDD would be a nice...
I think it's definitely a safe bet at this point. The real question is, will there be a second price cut when the Falcon hardware comes out? Will they really push the competition and get to a $199, $299, $399 price point for the Core, Premium and Elite, respectively?
I think this is part one of a two part price cut. From one of the blog entries reported earlier (I know, it's not reliable) I think this is just an inventory clearer, similiar to the Sony price cut. Once that's done, there will be another with the Falcon hardware. Again, just a hunch. I could be way off, but it kind of makes sense.
interesting.
I think we're going to start seeing more and more "timed" exclusives from 3rd party publishers. As game costs increase, it only makes sense that they try to reach as many consumers as possible. Plus, I'm sure there's alot of PS3 owners that would enjoy this game. Much the same that alot of 360 owners would enjoy MGS4 or FFXIII.
hopefully they will make a demo available as well.
the more I see of this game, the more it impresses me. I know one thing for sure...it's going to be a blast to play. I can't wait.
it doesn't need "saving". I'm not sure what this guy is talking about. Although, I have to say, he was spot on about the D-pad. The DualShock D-pad is the best in the biz, and I hope MS will work on improving theirs. Of course, that has nothing to do with XBLA content. Overall, I think it's got great variety, and is pretty well priced.
