Right now, Consoles have the upperhand, but in a couple of years, PC will comeback with a vengeance.
To me the difference is the limitations. Consoles have several limitations that don't really improve games. It is mostly visual. Games made for PC have a bigger advancement in game play and other areas.
I hope more companies start making more PC games and not just ports.
Have you guys seen that phone commercial where the girl is texting by dragging her finger on the letters. She is not pressing them, dragging them. Looks pretty kool, but I wonder if it really works.
Looks awesome. I wonder if you can do catwoman, sonic, megaman?
From the Battlefield Blog: "The center flags are infantry focused and the team in control of either centre flag will get access to an attack helicopter or an AA vehicle, respectively."
http://blogs.battlefield.ea...
Awesome! There is going to be an attack helo or AA vehicle for whoever gets the center flag first.
Just for your information, this is actually just gameplay. I too thought it was the Moments 3 ep., but DICE changed it on the Battlefield Blog.
Game looks very promising. The helo part was awesome! The graphics to me look like a cross between the BF2 engine and the Frostbite. Looking forward to more footage. Also since DICE is doing the MP, this has a lot of potential.
I think EA & DICE could do it. BC2, BF3, MOH,seems like a good lineup to me. We have only seen the tip of the iceberg from BC2 so far. I'm sure BC2 will also have an infantry mode. If didn't play BF2's Infantry mode, you missed out. It has a lot of action, but with team play and tactical game play. To me personally Bf2's Infantry mode was better because of the teamwork and action.
What I think would make BC2 sell better is having a clan system and a mode(s) that are good for...
That's your mistake. You're comparing the 2 games when they are not the same. They deliver a different experience. BF is more open, team based, tactical shooter with vehicles. MW is an arcady shooter placed on small maps. If you took the time to learn how the game works and how to play as a team, then you would see a bigger benefit. Also, it's a beta, so you can't judge the game too much. Another thing, your judging one map from the whole game.
The guy playing kind of sucked, it looked like he had no idea what he had to do. For newcomers, the game will take a while to get used to. Once you get to know the game more, the game feels so much better especially if you play with a squad(a good squad). I've seen so much more action when you play as a squad/team. Also read this from a dev:"Arica Harbor is one of #BFBC2's largest maps. If you feel infantry combat on this map is a little slow, we've got your fix. I assure you." -
Yes, this is a beta. Devs take a lot of info from these beta's and have time to fix things. As where a demo, usually is more to show off the game. But man the game runs pretty awesome and it's in Alpha stage.
This map doesn't have them. The other maps do though. If you remember, the Atacama and Port Valdez maps had them. Each map will offer different game play, which is very good.
Actually if you see the video again, the C4 didn't take down the building. That crate that they armed blows up and takes the house down with it. The c4 took the walls out and weakened the structure. Buildings have a health bar, it won't fall in one go.
Every time you arm a crate and it blows, the house will fall and kill whoever is in it. Also building can be destroyed many ways, tanks, artillery, choppers, etc. Again, it'll take time to take it down.
You guys need to realize that this is a beta. So your going to see some complications. DICE will test different things while people are playing. This is not a demo. The point of the beta is to gather information and let people report bugs/glitches. Of course, there will be a majority of people just wanting to play and not really care about these things. We will have to see though, hopefully everything will run smooth for the beta.
I think BF3 will come out in 1-2 years after BC2. I think DICE wants BC2 to played for a while so they can give out some DLC and make the game last. After BF3 comes out, I don't think anyone will be playing BC2 all that much, unless BF3 is PC exclusive. Battlefield games last a while, 1942, BF2, & 2142 are still played today.
To me I think BC2 will slowly but surely gain fans and get more hype about BF games. I'm not totally sure, but I think BC2 will have an infantry mode like BF2 which I think will attract cod fans. Also, there was something said about online co-op. I hope we get some info soon.
It's funny you say that because I find MW and all the cod game pretty bland in MP. I mean it's the same thing over and over. If you have ever played past BF games like 1942 and BF2, you would know how fun they are.
For those saying that the vids released so far are not 360/PS3, if you follow DICE on twitter, you would know that all the vids have been console. Actually they were thinking of releasing or making a PC trailer, Maybe later on.
Offer is pretty sweet, can't lie! To bad it's limited. DICE should be announcing the next editions soon, I assume.
Are you serious? Battlefield 2 had this a long time ago. I'm not sure what was the first game to bring revive into games, but it sure wasn't KZ2. I also dislike that fact that everything gets compared to cod4, when in reality cod4 took stuff from other games. The kit customization was in Battlefield 2142, before cod4. They may or may not gave gotten it from their, but saying that cod4 invented kit customization is false.
I think Gordon means on the PC, unless we have not seen everything on the console yet.
