I'm fine with 30fps, 60fps will probably be standard within the first year or two of the consoles life cycle. Right now, it's all about pushing the best graphics possible for the time being while sacrificing framerate until a better median is found.

Who said that the Vita was doing bad? It probably isn't doing as well as Sony had hoped(it will soon), but it's not doing so bad that they need to "turn things around".

No they weren't, and Sony never thought of doing it. The only reason why Sony got dragged into it was that the Xbox One had DRM issues.
