People who ONLY play facebook and mobile phone/tablet don't count as gamers. They may play the occasional throw away game but they are not gamers. If you only watched Disney movies you wouldn't be considered a film buff. If you jogged 1 day a year you wouldn't be considered a runner, if you... you get the picture.
How were you let down by a alpha beta? it was a BETA and an old build at that. And Driver: SF was pretty awesome.

No casual games are needed. But they should NOT shape the future of the industry. Dumbed down graphics and dumbed down gameplay hurts the core gamer. If the Wii didn't exist then maybe M$ wouldn't have sunk their entire gaming division's budget into kinect and made some real games with that money.
As the 1st person in the world to platinum this game I say $10 is the perfect price point.

Has the Wii finally died? I for one hope so. I can't stand the casual trend it ushered in. Also i hated the fact it was a standard def system and had last gen hardware.

I never once said ALL gamers bought from amazon. I was pointing out a large number of gamers do because of their great deals.
Also NPD never tracked Wal-mart either. Even with no deals we can all agree tons of games are purchased there.

Cheevos didn't do it for me. But trophies damn near killed me. I just recently retired from trophy whoring and honestly I don't remember how to play games anymore. Its like readjusting to life on the outside after being in prison for years.
