Very few non-shooter games are ever hyped this generation. You have a few exceptions with AAA RPGs but for the most part if your game is not about pwning noobs then it may sit on the back burner until release and people get to play it then spread the word, word of mouth style.
Yeah that would suck if it was. But I'm sure EU gamers got a chance to watch the tester so we all should be able to watch this. Ever since watching Shameless I've been interesting in TV over the pond.
Exactly the same reaction I had. Sony didn't have to do half of what they did for us. We all know MNCs are empirically evil but Sony may have just started a paradigm shift.

The Sony press release SPECIFICALLY said NOT all Sony games will use the program. And every game you mentioned has already or will soon pass 2 million sales, including both Resistances. All those games are in Sony's Platinum collection except LBP2 & KZ3 obviously because they just came out within the last 6 months. I'm sure every dev would be happy with those numbers.
