Well, in the case of this shooter there is a lot of strategy plus duck and cover going on and less run and gun. Run and gun shooters can use the classic controller pro or the Wii remote.
Classic controller Pro. That's all you need and I'm guessing most games will support it as an alternative control scheme.
@B1663r Nintendo never releases their specs. It almost always has to be found out by someone that takes it apart and posts it online. It might help sell a few consoles, but if they don't release them it can help throw off their competition.
I saw the system. Just watch any E3 show floor videos, they all have it. Of course it's not big enough to have a hard drive, they Wii U only has flash memory, not a hard drive.
It was being rendered in real time. And considering it was only put together for E3, the games that eventually do come out will probably look even better, even considering the loss you'll get from adding actual interaction and a HUD. The bird video was also impressive if you know what to look for.
Since then we've also seen some very early builds of a few games and they all look absolutely amazing for games that are still over a year away.
I saw that Zelda tech demo and the controller and I was on board immediately.
@Shackdaddy836
Actually 6 years is a little slow. It's usually closer to 5.
Put it on the Wii U. That would sell some systems.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the last price hike was made with all of these features in mind. So there already was a price hike for the upcoming features.
I wasn't aware that NATO claimed to control the world. They're a peace keeping force that are trying to protect the people. The world has always been "the people's world".
With the Wii at least they showed some actual gameplay from launch games. Now we'll probably have to wait until the TGS for that. Hopefully someone can dissect this baby and give us some real details.
Well I don't consider the Wii U to have a long list of faults, especially considering we don't know anything about it (which may be it's only real fault), I do see where you are coming from. To me though, Blu-ray will never be as big as DVD was, and online streaming will probably do very well on the Wii U.
Why would the disc format make the future not look too bright? It's the exact same as a Blu-ray, except this way they don't support their rival.
The one good point he made is that tech demos don't support consoles. A lot of actual games are now being shown though, so that problem is going away. I'm also sure that tons of more games will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show and next years E3.
Really? This seems to be the opposite approach they took with the Wii. No more friend codes for one.
Not really a similar scenario at all. They still will probably have some sort of friends list or player (not console) specific account. While everything else, like "achievements" and features will be chosen by the developers.
Good news. This also seems to somewhat confirm the death of friend codes.
Nope. Looks as good as most finished 360 games. At least the graphics do. Not sure how the actual gameplay will be when it's all said and done, especially considering it's made by Ubisoft. But, I was just referring to the graphics in my first comment.
I hope not, it would suck if they did.
"All Nintendo showed was a couple of tech demos and a video of the "expected features" of the tablet"
Exactly, and that's all they needed to show to have the best conference. Plus they also showed some awesome 3DS games.
Kind of like that whole television thing. And the "internets". They're just fads that will go away.
