Are they making games for free?
Xbox Live will be down for about 24 hours on monday due to maintenance. There will be no new features when Live is up and running again. There will be no "New Xbox Experience" after the maintenance.
They are just making Xbox Live ready for the "NXE" that comes later this year. Probably november/december.
Well, september 25th is a thursday, so I don't see how Portal: Still Alive coming that day since arcade titles are being released on wednesdays. Portal: SA might come on the 24th though.
The Title Update 2 for Halo 3 might be out the 25th with new achievements and stuff, maybe some new maps or whatnot like the article says. Would be cool if the so called "New Xbox Experience" came the same day. Seems a bit unrealistic Microsoft announcing 12 brand new games at the same ...
They can add 250 points per add on, so since Legendary Map Pack is one piece of DLC, they can add more points to another add on.
At least that's how I think it is. Or maybe they will add more achievements with zero gamerscore points. They did add a couple of achievements with 0 points coming with the Title Update 2:

Gears has been in the top 10 most played game on the 360 since it game out. It's now number 4. Impressive.
1. Call of Duty 4
2. Halo 3
3. GTA IV
4. Gears of War
Gears 2 will probably go to number 1 spot in it's first or second week. The only question is how it will do after a few months. Probably top 3 with COD4 and Halo 3.
I respect honest people, and I hate people who lie. If this guy from G4 thinks that Too Human is a good game, not great, but good, he has the right to tell us that. GameSpot is a pretty big gaming site, one of the biggest, and I respect that he is questioning Gamespots' 5.5 grade for Too Human. People in the industry should be honest, so if he thinks that GS is way off, then say so.

Halo Wars is going to be released next year, not this.
And yeah, I agree with most of you who say that last year was better than this. 2007 was the best year for gaming if you ask me. I own a 360 and really appreciated Forza 2, PGR4, Bioshock, Halo 3, COD4 and Mass Effect.
It's quite sad to see so many (mostly) PS3 fanboys jumping with joy seeing that Too Human didn't get top scores from different gaming sites. It's just a game. If it isn't as big as Halo 3, COD4, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Forza 2, then it's allright. Noboby has to buy the game, and if you don't know wether to buy it or not, just download the demo and play it for yourself.
360 owners has lots of great games in various categories out already. So I don't care if Too Human doesn't get 9'...

The 360 and games for it doesn't sell well in Japan because the console is american. If the Xbox 360 was made by a japanese company the console would sell like crazy since it has lots of great games.
Europe and North America on the other hand buys stuff that comes from other countries. We don't mind hardware from the far east, but I guess they disslike the west, and so they don't buy stuff that we make.

I've never tried co-op in a role playing game before, so it will be interesting to try it out in Fable 2. I've also never played co-op in a strategy game before. Not untill Halo Wars at least =)
I love playing co-op over Xbox Live. More games should have co-op. I missed it in COD4 and Bad Company.
7th of July is Bungie Day.
Last year they gave away free gamerpics and a theme, just like they are doing today. They will later today also give away a free map for Halo 3. Bungie are caring for their fans and they know how important a community can be for a game. The fans will appreciate things like this. Alot of gaming companies has alot to learn from Bungie.

Story is important in some games, not all. I reviewed Ninja Gaiden 2 and gave it 8/10, but since NG2 is an action game and hack n slash, the story isn't really that important.
In games like FF VII, Bioshock and Mass Effect the story is really important to make the players want to know what happens next in the plot and wanting to finish the game. But when it comes to pure action games like Ninja Gaiden, it doesn't matter that much because NG is all about hacking and slashing enemi...

The 360 has been out since 2005. People should know the difference between a normal demo and arcade games...
The most annoying thing for me in COD4 is when people teamkill while playing Hardcore Search & Destroy. Not even half a second after everyone spawns some guy fires a rocket launcher into the group and kills like three guys.
That is sooo annoying and really stupid. There are always some guys out there who has to ruin it for everbody else.
It's annoying when people swear or are being racist or whatever, but u can just bring up the scoreboard and press A. Voilà...
Who cares which console sells the most?
I just wanna have a console that has good games and a good online service since I care about online gaming. I do have a console that delivers on those terms - The 360. I'm sure that fans of PS games are happy with their PS3 and that Nintendo fans are enjoying Mario & co.
We shouldn't care about who "wins" the so called "console war". We should sit down in the coach/chair and have fun with the games. But ...

After watching the gameplay in that video review I would've guessed a 6 or 7/10, but a 9 seems a bit strange to me. I haven't played the game yet, but it seems to be a pretty boring game, even with co-op.
I hope EA puts a demo on Xbox Live so that I can try it and see what it's like. I've always been skeptical about AoT, and even after watching this review, it doesn't impress at all.
Looks like a really poor Gears-wannabe if you ask me.

I haven't been a fan of the FIFA series, and haven't enjoyed a FIFA game in many years. But after playing in the Online Clubs game mode on Xbox Live with some friends, I became a fan of FIFA 09.
It's a good football game, and the best sports game this year if you ask me. Grid being the best racing game in my opinion.
