but UK fans have to wait until the *January 29th, 2007*
wtf?
that article was crap
the only reason the site (i noticed MSN in the URL) wants us to replace all our stuff with brand new stuff is cause microsoft is too fudging idle to create drivers for old software in its Operating Systems (see: vista)
crap. all of it.
apart from for a DVD player, just cause they are so cheap new
not particularly i find, theres alot of them in my college :S
we even have an iMac suite for the art department
@2.1 yes you can run safari on XP
personally i run firefox on both my XP and my mac machine, although that is mainly cause of the familiarity i have with it
im using a hackintosh at the moment, ease of use is amazing.
personally i'm a techy person, i know the ins and outs of PCs and I still prefer OSX. the machine loads a dream and runs programs with ease, even with its pretty low spec (i wouldnt be able to run vista on this, im sure of that)
the only built in app i regularly use is iTunes and teh machine seems fine with that. firefox, adium, seashore, limewire etc. has no problem at all.
the mac just makes ...
a massive agree and bubbles for you sir
simple solution, the stupid bint should restrict picture messaging to friends only, or restrict all together. its not exactly hard to do >.>
I suppose the console that bought gaming trully into the home is 100% irrelevant now
blow it out your ass cage
you're right there, i wouldnt be surprised if EA made the next NFS game playable on a microwave. seriously, EA port everything :/
if EA buy T2 a great company would be sent down the crapper
i suppose HD-DVD owners arent that boned. now that HD-DVD is no longer in the race, the HD-DVD devices will be going dirt cheap, including the burners for your PC.
although it ultimately lost out to blu-ray, you shouldnt loose sight of the fact that it is still a stunning format, with disks offering about 6 times the storage of a regular DVD. stock up with plenty of disks and you'll be pretty sorted for all your storage needs. and whilst production of hardware may be stopping, th...
i say photoshopped personally, the accomplishment thing looks far too similar to the xbox 'achievement unlocked'pop-up. i mean honestly, sony does have some originality. putting it in the same place as the 360 popup comes up (centered at the bottom) in the same sort of format (console related logo on left, detail on right) and even execution (momentary popup bubble) isnt something a major manufacturer with a massive team devoted to the programming of the system would do
i'm not s...
im a 360 gamer but even i found this hilarious!
i do enjoy my xbox, and its alot of fun, it just seems that with the rise in online popularity that split screen has become somewhat neglected. dont get me wrong, playing with online mates is brilliant, but IMO nothing compares to having a few mates around, cracking open some beers and playing 4 way toy commander! :P
good times!
the article is very well done and the points in there couldn't be more valid. and despite my expert training on 'simulators' *raises eyebrow* i only just managed to get a remotely good standing score at the range (100ft) with an air rifle last week, after about 8 weeks of going there.
seriously, next he will be saying that all the gang culture in america and britain can be resolved by simply confiscating their controllers.
anyway, see you all later, apparently i ha...
i had my 360 since launch, and its i've only ever had 1 RROD, and i've had the replacement running flawlessly since september 2006. and thats with daily use, and active downloads turned on.
as per reliable hardware, everything seems fine to me, although i was amazed last week when my dreamcast fell of a shelf (about 75cm high) landed upside down on the floor and carried on playing the game like nothing had happened! now thats reliable hardware for you!
they dont buil...
sounds like a plan to me...
currently on a hackintosh (homemade pc using darwin/osx98) running leopard
and i can say its the best OS i've ever used, as opposed to vista, which is annoying even before you get the anything running (seriously, the XP start menu was fine, it didnt need to be messed about with)
just a thought, but won't N64 ports be hard to do on the 360?
i mean, the controller layout will be so hard to pan out?
how i would do it:
Cup = y, Cleft = x, Cright = b, Cdown = a, A = LB, B = RB, L = LT, R = RT, Z = Back, D-pad = Dpad, Analogue stick = either analogue stick (right to stay closer to original controller scheme, left for ease of use)
or, i would swap right analogue stick to C-buttons (might be awkward to be precise th...
...as the year that a video format went down in flames, flames scented with the smell of burning bullcrap. only this time it will be extra special because the flames aren't comming from sony for once...
as video formats go, Beta lost to VHS, and UMD was just plain useless. Looks like Sony got a case of 'third time lucky'
i dont think graphics should get in the way of gameplay, but they are important
try playing dead rising, one of the first things i noticed in the cutscenes was that the screen tearing is horrendous, the graphics are pretty blocky too. however as soon as i picked up a bit of 2x4 and smashed a zombie into oblivion, none of it seemed to matter, gameplay took over completely and i didnt care that the effects were rubbish.
personally i think that crud graphics and brillia...
