I just wanted to point out...That most ppl focus on the GPU of the PS3...But completely ignore the fact that the Cell works with the GPU and the Cell itself can render graphics...But I guess that counts for nothing. You know the ENGINEERS that built the thing might know a little more than you...(Before you start I have a BS in Engineering, so don't throw words and concepts at me that you yourself cannot defend in detail)

i think youre still missing what Im saying...Writing code for a game is not as simple as saying...Ok I want better graphics there and explosions here...Hell have you ever used AutoCad or Pro E?? Those tools simplify drafting but still takes a TON of time given you have to reinvent the wheel on things and developers dont have an unlimited budget of money and time...Over time when tricks of the trade with working with the PS3 come into rotation, then new things can start happening..More resourc...
they aren't trying for less than 100...but the program they write with the knowledge (or tips and tricks even) they have only utilizes X %...When more experience is gained on the platform, new tricks come to developers, less time is spent to get the same things done, so innovation can take place along with improvement...and a stride to using more of the resources ...You must remember a developer doesn't have infinite time and money to write one game...But things are learned each time...so les...
programmers have tools that gauge the system...just like your own computer can tell you how much of your resources you're actually using...It really isnt that farfetched...
I havent seen much info on COD4, but Halo 3 and KZ will definitely be must haves for gamers (not fanboys)
