I was going to buy the core because I didn't feel I needed the HD ( I didn't plan on subscribing to Live so the space I didn't think would be needed other than the memory card, especially since I wasn't concerned with backwards compatibility)
used ones go for 80 bucks at EB/Gamestop....80 bucks USED for 20 gigs of HD...That should be a crime.... And MS are crafty, they made the HD in such a way that you MUST buy THEIR HD...You cannot simply go to Comp USA and pick up an HD and put it in (Because they certainly wouldn't charge you 80 bucks used for 20gigs of HD)
this sucks...Because it was the Core that I was going to buy when they released the Falcon...I knew it was odd in that Flyer from Toys R Us it showcased the Premium getting the 50 dollar cut and not the core...This is bad news, I hope it's wrong, because that would mean the entry price to the xbox360 just went UP 50 dollars...from 300 to 350.
