I'm not a real expert but I know about gaming rigs. The CPU isn't terrible, but you might as well spend an extra $30 and get the Phenom II x4. BFBC2 is one of the few games that actually used all four cores, so I think DICE will do the same with BF3, even moreso. too bad MAG sucks balls, and the only people that really like it are PS3 fanboys who HAVE TO LIKE every PS3 game that comes out. Every Battefield game has been better than MAG is, okay maybe not every single one--I'll except Bad Company 1.
I use my PS3 for good games like Uncharted, GOW, Infamous, etc but lets face it the PS3 is not the greatest system for shooters.

Uncharted 2 is one of the best games of all time, and the best looking console game ever (imo), doubtless, UC3 will look even better. But there is no way it is better looking than crysis. I've only played Crysis 3 times in my life (on a friends computer), and the scale of that game is ridiculous (not that UC2 isn't huge). I don't even own a top-of-the-line computer anymore (just ps3 & 360), and I know that PC is more powerful.
was so much better than this game. The PC version had more guys and more happening on the beach. Frontline didn't give me that Omaha Beach feel--not enough happening. Either way, it was a decent game.
I traded in my 4 yr old original xbox (with some games) and only ended up paying $60 for the new "Xbox S"... THey gave me $100 for the xbox and $30 for the 20gb hdd. I wasn't gonna do this until I saw that they were gonna give me $130 for my 4 yr old xbox...HA

I agree that the Silmarillion has TONS of stuff that would make for a great game. I'm with Elwenil about the games, every LOTR game that comes out seems to suck. The Battle for Middle Earth (1&2) were fantastic, I just wish it had an upgraded engine (it's using that old C&C Generals engine). I still get the urge to go back and play that game once in awhile.
