Even multiplatform titles on PC look better than these Ps3 exclusives that get praised for graphics. People just go to Crysis all the time because even after all this time the total package can't be matched, there are games that beat it in some ways but not as a whole. Truth is most games coming out in 2011 on PC, exclusive or multiplat will outshine Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 graphically.
You deserve what you got for buying yet another yearly installment of Call of Duty. I don't feel bad in the slightest sense. I just pray you don't do the same next year.
They added a key word in the article that makes it true, that word should be added to title as well.
Gears of War and Fallout are unmatched.
I started a new game, ran straight through Primm Pass to the starting point and completed the DLC. Level doesn't have a big effect on game difficulty, its more equipment that does and SPOILERSyou startwithnothingSPOILER.
Make games that are worth buying, drop the DRM and don't even thing about charging $60.
Hopefully they release a true PC version and only dumb down the console version. I don't mind sharing but you better not fuck me on this one.
How much is the computer you're using now? Add the $300+ you spent on a console and PC gaming isn't very expensive. You could have been a PC game with your budget. You also would have been saving $10-20 per game and instead of waiting for DLC get extra content for free in the form of mods. Modding isn't complicated either. most games have some kind of a mod manager you can download that does the work for you. There are also a large amount of free or dirt cheap indie games that are...
Or add the cost of a PS3 or up to $500 depending on when they got it to the computer they're using right now. They easily could have had a gaming rig without paying extra and you save $10-20 per game.
@Balt
You can use a gamepad and your TV when PC gaming. Crysis 2 is even going to have aim assist when you use a controller, expect others to do the same. It will be just like playing on a console only it will look good.
Have fun with your 720p and aliasing.
I'm going to have to disagree completely. Fallout New Vegas is better in every way. Playing Hardcore Very Hard in New Vegas is Hell. Fallout 3 was never difficult. Fallout 3 also has a very linear plot with generic save the world, good guys and bad guys BS. Having played Dead Money I can say I find it to be the best Fallout DLC to date and there is more on the way. If someone hasn't played 3 and the DLC they should but to me New Vegas is the superior game.
Crysis is generations ahead of Killzone and that won't be changing. Keep telling yourself otherwise. Rage, Brink and Battlefield 3 will also put Killzone 3 to shame.
While FF14, DC Universe Online and X-COM are not exclusives they do matter. If you're a console only gamer who is only able to afford one console or doesn't see the point in buying a second one these games change your opinion on which to get. Exclusives help you pick a platform, but recently they are more for giving fanboys an erection. I'm mostly looking forward to multiplatform titles next year and I prefer a platform that has plenty of upcoming exclusives.
Not even close. Even if Crysis 2 is a disappointment graphically it will still look better than Killzone 3.
I think Rage looks better thank Brink but both look great.
Best looking shooters in 2011 will probably be this:
1. Crysis 2
2. Rage
3. Brink
Gameplay is debatable. Graphics sure, but I'm not impressed compared to what I play on a daily basis. You could argue Killzone is better than Halo, in the end it is an opinion, but if your only argument is a petty insult then you're fighting a lost cause.
Yeah but they'll never scratch CoD. Its such a casual shooter its bringing in people that wouldn't dare call themselves gamers before.
I'd say Starcraft 2, Halo: Reach and GT5 will give you way more than $60 worth of gameplay.
Black Ops? Its the same junk we got last year, just a little different.
Cataclysm could be but the monthly fee kills that.
Battlefield 2 was definitely a good buy, I'd rather play it than Bad Company 2.
Castlevania is good but you don't feel like you got more for your money.
No. This doesn't look better than Crysis and it won't look better than most PC titles next year, exclusive or multiplatform.
Do you actually think a gun sounds like that? I suggest you actually shoot one before saying something like that. Movie and video game gun sounds are never that good.
