Age of Conan was terrible as a console game. What a mess.

True, there aren't many good platformers for this generation, but why not come up with a new character? Why bank on an established franchise?
Surely it's not that hard to create a new character. Here, I'll try:
How about Joe the Sock. He lives in a sock draw and his partner Jim the Sock has gone missing. You traverse the levels and ultimately find out that the washing machine has take Jim prisoner and you have to recover the magical box of washing powder to free him...
