I want to play this game so so badly. I love the guitar looking thing (shamisen) on her back. I hope we can 'collect tunes' to play on the guitar throughout the world. That would be so awesome.
"While Ubisoft announced the two-million-players metric, the actual copies sold are far lower"
It was obvious this was the case when they told us "player numbers" as opposed to actual hard sales numbers for a single player game. It was only about 1 million sales, half the announced player numbers. Only people with their head in the sand thought it was any different. This game was not the success that Ubisoft needed when you factor in the development budg...
Lol he also might be one of those gamers who just leaves the game on while taking breaks and doing other stuff around the house. Colin Moriarty said he does just that nearly all the time. He mentioned that the stat you can see in the Playstation menu about how many hours you have played in a game is wildly misleading because of that fact. It's the first time I learned that some people actually do that. I'm a "put my PS5 to sleep before going to the shops for 30 minutes" type...
It's pure speculation on behalf of the author of this opinion piece and it hold no weight at all.
But I'm feeling like Obsidian is being pulled, in a way, towards making other games from more successful IP. What do you think? Could they be in pre-production for a Grounded 2? Fk I hope so
Yep lol, the premise is really reaching here. I'm the kind of person who, oftentimes, goes around doing nearly everything I can before doing a main story mission in an open world game. Although I haven't played Shadows yet, I assume it's the basic type of AC game. I too would most likely play 15 hours and not have finished Act 2.
Personally, I was hoping Grounded would have sold a bit better. I liked that game so much I platinumed it lol. Would love a sequel or a spiritual successor. But maybe that might not happen.
This is ridiculous speculation on the numbers considering the game is only a few days old and it's an open world game with many things to do and places to see. A small percentage not finishing Act 2 means nothing right now. Also, this is another example of journalism jumping all over this game for clicks. Usually it's a way over exaggerated positive spin, but this one goes the other way and it's still just as absurd.
Damn, I was hoping Grounded would sell a bit better. I liked that game so much I platinumed it lol. Would love a sequel or a spiritual successor. But I guess that might not happen
100% agree
WTF are you even talking about? I don't want Ubisoft to fail. I play ALL the assassin's creed games and ALL the Far Cry games. I don't watch gaming youtubers who are negative. I watch Skill up and Sacerd Symbols and MAtty Plays.
Shutup. I'm not trying to ruin it for anyone. I'm going to buy the game eventually. The overabundance of strange coverage this game is getting for a simple 81 meta game is WEIRD. Journalists are putting this game on some pedestal and making it sound like it's the most successful and greatest thing since sliced bread. You need to stop being so defensive all the damned time. You're like the 'old man who yells at cloud'.
I'm also not saying Ubi is crap. I'm meaning to say that the strange coverage this game is getting is super weird. And to be honest, it's bothering me. It's a huge journalist cirle-jerk over an 81 metacritic AC game
Yep, the strange coverage it has been getting is weird as Fk.
As of right now, from all the AC games you've played, and avoiding recency bias, where would you rate this AC personally when comparing it to the other AC games?
Yeah I never take much stock in user MetaCritic scores that's for sure.
I know you have been playing it. Is it the best Assassin's Creed in the entire series? Try to put aside any potential 'recency bias'. Is it the best AC ? If you honestly say so, then I might not be able to wait much longer until I jump in personally and get it
Yes it's over. The title said its on a journey to become the best ever. I said, it either is or it isn't the best game. You know that answer in the first week when you play the game. It's either the best in the franchise or not.
But all those games will be playable on Switch 1. So again, I don't sense the excitement among the majority of the Switch fans. And they are the casual fans.
He never suggested a special exclusivity deal. Far from it. The author is just speculating.
