I was one of the people who initially had a massive performance DROP after the patch.
But after reinstalling the game and the patch and then had a PS5 reset, all the problems have gone away like magic.
Now it's runs excellent. It actually feels like it runs better. Less tearing in cutscenes. 60fps is solid AF.
The game is working perfectly for me now with the patch. Even better than this video. I had to reinstall my disc version, get the update, and then reset my ps5

I've read elsewhere that some people have had my issue and now they notice nothing bad at all. So doing this will 'fix' what's happened to me.

Apparently there's some weird shit going on. Like after you download and install the patch, then u have to reinstall the game and then it's fine. I don't know, there is some crazy shit going on

I will tell you what's happening to me.
Any big fighting scene is massive Frame Drops.
Go into any big town and move the camera around you in a circle and massive frame drops.
Both of those things never happened before the patch.
It's ironic you call them that, when you keep showing up here with your Hundreds of Alt accounts but getting the same result. You're not affecting anything by doing this all the time.
The patch has ruined the PS5 version of the game. Unplayable in performance mode.
They have no idea what they're doing over there at Edge.
I'm playing Valhalla. I'm going to Platinum Valhalla, and yes it's no better than a 7.5/10

Ghost Of Tsushima takes a dump all over this game's combat. The combat is bare bones average in Valhalla. If you didn't like Odyssey, then you will HATE Valhalla combat
The PS5 performance mode was fine BEFORE THE PATCH....
Now the new patch has destroyed the game. I had to reinstall the disc version again and make sure it NEVER installed the new patch.
It was unplayable
PS5 was running fine before the patch.
Now it almost unplayable. So much so, that I deleted the game and re-installed the disc version with no update.
FIX THIS UBISOFT.
Your patch made the PS5 version run like shit.
Try New Game + Trust me the difficulty jumps dramatically towrds the latter half

I have the disc version. So I deleted the entire game. Re-installed from disc and turned off updates. NOW, all my freaking SAVE files are all corrupted. Apparently there is a work-around for corrupted save files. If this doesn't work imma rip my face off im so pissed.

It looks like a last gen game. Red Dead 2 destroys it in the graphics department.
Series X lowering the Dynamic Range resolution was the only way, I guess, to stop most of the tearing it had.
PS5 Dynamic Range resolution is higher. That's an advantage to PS5, but really, it's insignificant. Both versions are at a good level now I think.
