That was a big issue with TimeShift, too (along it just being lackluster in general). You were constantly slowing down/stopping/reversing time. It made the game way too easy.
I really hope that in the time freeze sections, you can actually really manipulate what is about to happen. Move a bullet out of a person's path, things like that.
One thing that annoys me is having to start a game to recognize the need for an update. That means I have to start the game, DL the update, and restart it once it's done... every single time. Annoying to not see the disc and assume I want to DL the update file. I'm not in the habit of putting in games that I never want to play.
With the plethora of new, interesting games announced today, and the majority of people are talking about the exclusivity of Tomb Raider.
Tells a lot about the state of the gaming community.
Makes it worse when you look at where the games sold. A huge portion was in Europe, where X1 isn't doing very well at all in many parts.
I imagine Sony will get it sometime in 2016, they had already confirmed they were working on the PS4 version. But will PS players care six months later? Not that many.
I'm sure they bankrolled most, if not all, of the production costs. Being as the last game had a good bit higher % of sales on PS consoles, I don't see any other reason to make it exclusive.
MS gets to compete with Uncharted and SE is guaranteed a profit.
EDIT: This is assuming lifetime exclusivity. If it's only timed, then MS paid for a good chunk to make up for lost PS sales.
My problem with it is that it made the difficulty really uneven at times, depending on when and where you were leveling up. I wouldn't call it BS, but I think it could use some adjustment.
I'd prefer Fuse reverting back to Overstrike. That looked interesting, Fuse came looking dull, even with the cool weapons.
Seems to me it is. I have great games to play and more coming in the future. Same as X1 or a Wii U. If you're a gamer, then any machine to play games on is worth having.
The lack of Logitech support bothers me more than anything. I have a DFGT sitting around begging to be used.
Being this is entirely cosmetic, it would have been more than easy to make it between going gold and the release date. As far as game-making goes, something like a hat or mask is simple compared to the rest of it.
To me it largely depends on the game how much of a difference it makes. Side by side, you can usually tell, but functionally it depends on other factors, such as visual references. TLOU is very noticeable, but something Journey probably wouldn't be as much because there's not as much movement any given time.
No, no, you're supposed to be saying that it's "completely unacceptable" to have little bugs and it's "disgraceful" that reviewers didn't tell us about them.
I have noticed some of the timings and detections are slightly different from the PS3 version. Things like a clicker grabbing you in the middle of your swing when last gen it would finish the melee.
They have gotten better at their estimates over the years, though. They usually end up not being terribly far off from official numbers when it's said and done. Close enough to get an idea of how many of these things are selling if nothing else.
Totally agree. To me, he's never been more than an average actor, and ended up with some good material in GoT to perform. I bet he'd barely be noticed if he weren't a little person.
I like Halo, but 4 is by no means the best in the series, IMO. The SP had a nice relationship thing with Chief and Cortana, but the enemies were reskinned Covenant and the antagonist was largely a nobody unless you've read the books. Even the MP felt too COD with perks, loadouts, instakill weapons, etc.
There are definitely lvl 20 enemies around. The place I was talking about is the Hive tunnels that one of the exploration missions has you scan. It's invincible but I like to screw with it until I die.
It's what they're aiming for. I have faith it will be, but don't jump the gun.
Even the Street versions of the major sports were a nice alternative to nothing but simulations year after year.
And I would absolutely love a new generation Skate. I had a stupid amount of fun in those games just riding around doing little tricks.
