I thought the shooting was pretty decent. Its Fallout esque in nature. Maybe a bit better and definitely faster paced.
I dont think it can be compared with modern shooters just the way you wouldnt compare Fallout or Skyrims first person with Farcry or Call of Duty. Different flavours of games.

Action games can have multiple types of combat systems. I'm sure you can google it.
Whatever you do, don't make a turn based action game.
Ray Tracing makes a huge difference to the look.
I forgot that while adjusting settings I turned off Ray Tracing. Drove around and ran some side missions for about and hour. Thought maybe I can up my fps limiter and suddenly noticed Ray Tracing was turned off. As soon as I turned it on, mind blown. It was night and day difference in the same scene. Also it seems they have refined it even more compared to first release. Looks amazing.

Lol even a rtx 3080 takes hits with ray tracing in this game.
Sure on PC you can adjust various settings and get things to the ideal spot you want but Series S is on a lower league compared to the X and PS5

Oh you could actually get unlocks from areas in Halo and the gameplay was excellent, which made the ubi hub work ok. Halos new skills and moment to moment shootouts were spot on.
