Lol the first one is a puzzle and clues adventure game with few moments of combat.
They could have shown a sequence of that here and maybe something they did new for this game.
This is an in game cinematic. Close to a screen saver.

I did play the original but a mid shot of the character and some scenery is barely gameplay.
FFXVII should refine the action even further.
Real time action can be taken to whole new heights.

Dysfunctional chat system, no matchmaking or group finder, map is built in a manner where you will be solo for most of it.
It's a pitiful state. D3 feels revolutionary in comparison.
If you want a solo game with all the glitches of online only, this is it.

The devs are correct.
The PS5 dev kit level specs would have been needed early on due the game fully integrating immediate rift loading into the gameplay and story.
The loading gameplay's not something you would just add on after a new ssd releases.
