Did the player win some award?

Any monetary gain?

Who said RPG has to be non linear?

wtf I need to try this everywhere

Only NMS comes close enough to be an RPG lite.

The article is about exploration

The issue ppl seem to bring up is exploration, tile size, seamless flight for exploration etc etc

Your reply was ''... of no real value and is just there as a diversion and time waster since you can typically get the same by completing the main quest, doing bounties, or just collecting minerals near where you land.''

So staying on point, I mentioned games that are open world, have traver...

Well for the in-depth level of exploration that people are expecting you gotta play NMS then.
You can find red coloured minerals in some planets and if you have the courage to venture even deeper you may find yellow coloured minerals as well. If you're the most seasoned of explorers then you could even go underwater. There's a whole world of leaves to look at.

For a different flavour try Spiderman. If you are somehow able to reach under that ledge you just ...

Priorities?
Resources?

Even a side quest feels more engaging, coherent and voice acted than all of NMS.

Starfield is going for role playing. That is a massive amount of detail necessary to pull off.
In fact I believe the Ship aspect is just a layer of the roleplay.
Like it always feels amazing to see my ship parked, evolve, in combat, etc even though I can't fly it around all the time.
Bethesda chose to focus on the...

From all the games of every platform this year, I feel motivated to play this more than anything.
Just like I used to with Skyrim.

It's my fav game of the year.

That 'Eye' station from the image was scary af.

You could really sense the threat of just being in space.

Cool spot.

''Yes, there's going to be some little things here and there where your companion might stand a little too close to you sometimes, yet the freedom you get, and the things that happen because of that, we absolutely love and embrace.

"Of course there are bugs. But does it take away from your experience? Or do you have a consistent, fun game that you just can't stop playing and experimenting with?"''

Exactly this.

But what would you explore tho?

Have you seen Star Citizen exploration.
It's 99% barren.

Or NMS exploration. There's very little worth exploring.

Here they make it worth it by focusing you and even then its quite a lot to walk around.

Lol at all the fake refunds.

893d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Very much so.

The atmosphere in this game is a massive win.

Everything is built for you to ease into roleplaying that space adventurer or bounty hunter etc.

I'm glad they did not go NMS lego builder. That game lacks atmosphere. Its ok for a bit, but its highly fake-ish flight model, pew pew that feels like a modder add on and the massive lack of any serious roleplay.

Simple just go to structures and interesting looking areas and you'll find something.
Which itself is helluva lot to explore. I mean I drop into Luna and got sidetracked with helping a miner which turned into a big level bounty shootout. Wasn't expecting any of that.

Now if I walked across the moon into an empty area, its pointless. I mean sure you can just mark the spot on the map and re-land to another part of the moon but that's something I would lea...

I have only faced 1 bug in 6 hrs.
The gun shots audio was on loop.

A quick reload fixed it.

I'm surprised. The game is just massive.

I'm a hoarder so the only cheat I use is the player weight.

But does this kill the achievements?
