Of the multi's only Silent Hill 5 and UT3 sold better on the PS3 in America.
The story sorta sucked. I won't say any spoilers.
Gameplay was good and the bosses were pretty cool and had a lot of variety. There was one real puzzle, that's about it. This was more action-adventure than RE but overall an 8.4 in my books.

What one game in September 2007 sold 1.7 million copies in one day with the exact same installbase in America at that time that the PS3 has at this moment?
KZ2 is a good game don't get me wrong. But it's not a mainstream franchise that Sony was hoping for. Nintendo has Mario, MS with Halo, and Sony doesn't have anything really recognizable to the mainstream crowd.

Halo Wars isn't in NPD numbers because it came out March 3 in the U.S. Maybe we should hold your tongue until NPD March numbers come out.
Buddy KZ2 had a lot of marketing, I saw the bullet ad on TSN, CBC, Spike, CW11, and Comedy Central.
Fact is Halo 3 sold 5 times more than KZ2 first day when it had the same installbase in the U.S. that the Playstation 3 has now.
But this doesn't take away from the fact that KZ2 is a good game.

E3 and the GDC will be interesting this year, I expect a lot of games to go multiplatform but I hope they stay exclusive. Less platforms=less wait.

EDIT: I would prefer that this would stay PS3 exclusive because exclusives whether 3rd party or 1st party define a console. Just like I would prefer ME2 to stay MS exclusive.

MS has a great relationship with Mistwalker, I feel this will be a 360 exclusive, but since it's unconfirmed I think this should go in multi.
Halo 3 sold 1.8 mil day one in the U.S. with a 12 million installbase worldwide. PS3 has a larger installbase with the release of KZ2 with 21 million but sold less than Halo 3 with a small 323k in 2 days. I'll let you make your conclusions now.
Halo 3 sold 1.8 mil first day with only a 7.5 million install base in the U.S. PS3 has a 7.5 million install base in the U.S. right now. So KZ2 did a bit better than 1/5 of Halo 3's first day sales for the most hyped game ever for the PS3.
I saw the ad all the time on TSN and CBC. When I saw the words War. Perfected. I couldn't help but think that it was a knock off of Halo: Combat Evolved. It's like they looked at combat evolved and grabbed a thesaurus to replace those two words. They ad was nice but it wasn't iconic or mindblowing.
The article has some nice points. I look forward to playing my most anticipated game of 2010, but really I was hoping for a 2009 release, but if they need that extra time to polish the game then I would rather wait.
Also, before the the comments get derailed with ME2 to PS3 or not let me point this out. Until ME2 is confirmed for the PS3 it's not coming. Stop arguing and wait for an official confirmation. As of this moment it's only 360 and PC.
The gameplay looks like a clone of Gears of War (not a bad thing because it adds new elements)but with an added jetpack and new vertical cover. The game looks decent but the icons for leaving and moving from cover look hideous and detracts from the feel of the game. Furthermore, the crosshairs look like crap. If they make the cover icons more asthetically pleasing and the crosshairs better than I'll take more interest in the game.

This is still PC gaming. If anything this might mark the end of Steam.
