Agreed. And I think Dance Central (which is made by the same people who made Rock Band) will be the next greatest fad for the holidays.

Preorder a bunch of Kinects now so you can stand on the street and sell them for a nice bank.

Nice article. I honestly think that the appeal MS is going for is for the kids who want the latest fad. They really don't need to make amazing software to sell the product. I think they're just trying to hype it up as much as possible and then when they see sales evening out, release the next generation of Kinect software, which hopefully will be better.

They're trying to make it into the next Tickle-Me-Elmo for the holidays. Parents will by whatever their c...

Why would you compare HARDWARE disparity to SOFTWARE disparity?

You wrote: "At first glance, this doesn't seem like much of a disparity, especially in hardware sales which are counted by the tens of millions at this point in the life cycle. What difference would being off by a few hundred thousand make in the grand scheme of forty-plus million? For this reason, their hardware figures really are generally accurate. But if VGChartz now has an established statistical st...

please read the article or get the hell out.

hahah what? 360 sales were 300,000 less then MS had released... therefore EVERYTHING is plus or minus 300,000? That's a bold statement, don't you think?

How about just stick to the statistics may not be accurate because of x,y,z. Not, because MS announced selling 41.7 million, and vgchartz announced 41.4 million, ALAN WAKE was announced to have sold 300,000, but they REALLY sold 600,000. Why is 300,000 suddenly some magic number regardless of what they're ta...

there's been talk about new bluray storage capacity. maybe it will go hand in hand. i wonder how much production costs of games will go up when this all happens. there have been articles talking about how much more work needs to be put in for a game to be in 3D.

increased storage and increased production costs...will this affect the bottom line?

"XB360 version is awkward, laggy and a pain to use, or even worse, not motion control enabled at all "

This is from the article:
"Because jumping into a whitewater raft, leaning to steer and leaping to drag the thing upward is something you ‘get’ in a second. Because there’s nothing more intuitive than kicking a ball, or punching a block. That the implementation is a trifle dodgy makes no difference at all providing the activities are simple and sociabl...

What a fantastic article. Someone who has been skeptical of Kinect who writes (really well), about his experiences and how he legitimately sees it as a viable gaming experience.

I think I will keep this writer on my radar... very well written.
