I am getting the Scorpio, hands down a day one purchase for me. I really do hope Sony ups the Neo's specs, I am getting the Neo as well. I will just give my current models (X1 + PS4) to a family member.
Being that the games are so close to the PC (they are building\creating them on the PC), I'm pretty sure this will be a easy tweak.
+1, of course if you only have a 1080p TV the 4k option will be greyed out.
This will never happen, their chance for a deal consoles are the cheaper ones. The Scorpio is going to be for the extreme gamers.
+1, I agree. I am willing to pay that $699 with ease.
I'm glad my job allows me to enjoy my hobby.

It amazes me at how ignorant some people are. You do know that on the PC, the game is made on one disk. You have computers that can play at min settings and some that can play at max settings, neither are held back because of the other computer inferior components.
I'm with you. The PC has been doing this for years, why not give console gamers an option. I say release all games on one disk and let the X1 models either play the game at low settings or max settings based on the X1 model. I wouldn't even mine if I could swap out hard drive and Ram.
I would think it would be like how the PC is now. They make one version that works accordingly to your system specs.
You wouldn't need a 4k TV to benefit. You could have more solid frame rate, AA for much smoother textures, better draw distance, etc. This is all possible with a 1080p TV.
Bring on the games.
I welcome it, I personally hate the long wait to get new tech.....4-5 years is perfect for me. I don't think I would update my son's X1 right away but mine I will.
I just like to game however I do choose console over PC ( I hate the aimbots\cheats and other things).
Because you have some people that don't care about 4k or 1080p. This might be a smart move. Drop the new Xbox at around $400-$499. With a price in that range the slim and old X1 would have to be around $199-$250. I would love to hear a Oculus partnership. I will give my Old X1 to my wife (Kinect sports). I will also update my PS4 to the Neo version (give my old PS4 to my son).
That's fine with me.......either number.
I make more than enough to support my gaming habit.
I agree. I am ready for the new.
I for one will gladly buy all new consoles that come out. I prefer a system that allows me to change my FPS + Screen Resolutions without any hit to current models. A lot of people don't realize that PC's have been doing this for years.
That would be a tape measure not power.
