It's probably not that good. Japanese consumers are pretty smart compared to westerners.

It's definitely a bad name but they also make a great point towards the end of the podcast about indies being more 'justifyable' on the Wii U. He's right. If you brought your friends over to show off your new PS4 and loaded up 1001 spikes, people would look at you funny. If you did the same with a Wii U people would probably be more like 'Oh cool! Retro games!'
The free online? Yeah that plus Nintendo games is a good reason.

Yep. I sold my 360 and was going to buy a PS4, but when I found out it couldn't play PS3 games it seemed like a better idea to wait. I bought a PS3 for TLOU and Uncharted games and I'm happy enough.
On a side note, I was also kinda disappointed that online play needs PS+ on the PS4. That was one of the main reasons I sold my 360.
