IPTV is a standard which offers many services, BT decided to offer a huge selection of on demand content including 280+ premiership football matches, movies, music and tv content.
Pretty much all of this is NOT AVAILABLE on the tv channels that are part of the freeview platform.
PLAYTV is simply replicating what i have in front of my TV right now which is a freeview PVR (cost me £80 from argos), if i forget to record a program tough luck ive missed it.. im d...
How when a story says anything remotely pro hd-dvd its lame
William the ps3 has a blu ray drive in it so it has everything to do with gaming, just like HDTV's can be used on console so we allow HDTV stories
Funny that i swore the ps3 had a bluray drive in it and the 360 has a hd-dvd drive.. lol
blu ray was fully cracked with 24 hours of the improved security being released they are dillusional
Good idea but you can cleary see its just 4 monitors stuck together and even the brightness levels arnt the same on each one the joins stand out a mile
Microsoft have only cut $50 off the 360 in over 2 years they have a ton of room to match and provably beat any PS3 price cut and like the analysts are saying price is the main factor
Im expecting a 360 cut in time for GTA4, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Too human
With a combined population of just under 3 billion..
The chinese government funded it development may be wrong though
Its an interesting idea to have yoda in the 360 version and vader in the ps3 one but surely a big draw of this game wold of been to have them fighting each other?
Actually give it a few months an they will be on DLC..
OK for you i cant have cable or a dish where i live i only have broadband and freeview so this service will give a lot of new content
The point is BTVison offers 7 days of tv programmes so you dont need to record it its always there for 7 days after the program airs
Same with premiership football matches (280 games a year)
The service also includes on demand music, movies and a wide selection of tv shows.
Obviously the main advantage over playtv is you dont need to have the console on when the program air to record it because its stored on the BT servers to be played on demand.
Exactly its causes that need to be looked at not the behavior its too late buy then
Parents/peers are the main influlence on anyones views..
I dont ive been to america numerous times, love the palce and have a few friends there i was just something that is all about upbringing and beliefs of parents/peers a lot of the time
Until that is fixed XBL or whatever is popular will always be the same
This is an enditement on American society the culture which they are brought up in and what is acceptable in the social groups.
Im from the uk and traveled australia for many months i met a few people from texas and their views were frankly sickening but through speaking to them i realised it was the beliefs of the parents that guided theor views.
Until these people understand their opinions are no acceptable through example of their peers and parents nothing wil...
IPTV already allow streaming oh HD movies/content across cable networks.
VirginMedia in the UK offer on demand HD content including movies as do SKYHD
I think discs will not be obsolete because of downloaded but the convenience of ondemand HD content. Before this you would have to wait until say saturday at 8pm to watch a film (so people would go out and buy/rent it instead)
Now you just go to films, pick it and start the film.

The article has a title of 'Get Your Girl To Game: Wii'
They are selling three times as many games on 360, do you think they care when they invest 5m on each platform for a game that comes out in December 07???
Its one for the stattos but in the real world the 360 releasing a year early was their free lap, sony is competing aggaint the wii and 360 now not -12 months
The publisher sets a wholesale price for the game when they well to distributors.
Say the game cost 5m to develop on PS3 and 360
If they then sell 1/3 the amount of copies on PS3 they have basically got a 1/3 ROI of their 360 version, they are not a charity
Its called my freeview PVR that i bought from argos 12 months ago for £80, playtv is doing nothing new
