I know a couple of podcast hosts that are looking forward to hanging out with you... they're jerks though. You don't want to be seen with those two!
I went to Bestbuy.com and didn't see any mention of this offer. They only show the Gamer's Club offer of 500 Reward Zone points, which translates to $10.
We just recorded the 70th weekly episode of our show and have been loving every minute of it! I wish you the very best for you and your show!
I just earned 3 achievements in this less than two weeks ago while in a zombies match with a few of my friends. We got our highest level yet on the newest of the zombie maps, 28! It took us over two hours, I believe.
Lou who?
Exactly right, just an arbitrary example. I was speaking more to the relative ease of porting to the 360 from PC development tools than porting from PS3 to 360. Ports from console to console rarely ever turn out that good!
"Get off my lawn!"
I don't find it to be pointless, but it is definitely a niche market that they are going after. I downloaded and played around with it for a bit, but was disappointed by the titles that were available. I heard one of the developers of Game Room that they have several hundred ROMs ready and own over a thousand. It would stand to reason that they would put some of their best games out for launch if they had that many ready. If these are their best, then I probably won't spend a whole lot of...
Sorry, double post!
Thank you, Cat! You are the best!
I thought it only fitting!
I have tried on two different occasions to play this beta and just can't do it. I have tested 15+ MMOs now and this is the first one that has me wanting to turn it off within minutes. Sad times.
It was our pleasure! We had a great time!
There hasn't been a 7-8 month period where the 360 has only sold 400k total. To your point, each manufacturer spins their sales data to make it look as bright and shiny as possible. None of them are innocent.
The same with the console failures. The problems with the 360 went on for much, much too long, but the PS1 and PS2 launches were also fraught with problems and bad systems. The PS3 is nearly rock solid and I don't think it gets enough credit for that. Consumer electro...
Most of my friends had the xbox and the PS2. We all gravitated towards the Xbox because of system link (and later, Xbox Live). Because we game so often together, the xbox was a better choice. That translated into all of us getting 360s and only recently did someone add a PS3 to their collection.
I play games as a way to hang out with my friends, so having the voice chat in all games, cross-game and now the Party system have all been very important to me. My only complaint a...
I agree with Aquonox on the title thing. It should be "Infamous Outsells Prototype on the PS3." It is still a little shaky, because if you compare launch month to launch month, Prototype bested inFamous by 4.1K (180,000 to 175900).
That said, high sales do not mean it is a good game.
The only thing I have seen with the downtime is that I had to re-sync my friends to my Zune, but that is no biggie. I do like having that feature, so I can give people on my friends list a hard time about what they are listening to. That may be a good thing to add to the podcast. I do love calling people out!
He was saying that the Sony approach may be a little better, because you have something to hold, but I think he is missing the point that, with Project Natal, you would have the ability to use a real object as your controller. Say that there is a sword fighting game. You could use one of those wooden practice swords if you wanted. Natal is reading your body, so it doesn't matter if you are holding something or nothing. Hell, you could use one of those totally sweet plastic pirate swords f...
I didn't even realize that Realtime Worlds wasn't involved in Crackdown 2. It has now shifted from being a "must buy" to a "rent first."
Nice blog series! Thank you for making my first PAX so great. We had a blast!
