since when was a 3d mario usually only 2-3 years apart except mario galaxy 2?

well idk if you are in the US but you have been able to do that for a long while now...
nintendo adds thongs to have options for the developers if they want to get creative
in the 3ds they dont have to use the 3d, gyro, cameras, streetpass, (home) button
but its there incase they need too
same with the gamepad, it has gyro, motion sensor, screen, cameras, etc....
no HAVE to be used
app store games are time wasters
they kill time with those
dedicated games are EXPERIENCES
we MAKE TIME to play those
there will ALWAYS be a market for both

the DS did not have any ''competition'' ; from ios devices and such when it launched
the 3DS now has to ''compete'' with all these devices

the 3DS sold what the DS did in a year IN JUST 9 MONTHS

3d is the way WE SEE the world
seeing games in 3D is the NORMAL way to play because thats how we NORMALLY see
i play 3D all the time and if i take it off, everything just seems flat and its hard to tell the distance of objects
you wont understand unless you play in 3D alot
