Another day, another feature creep, another milestone.
I smell another Cyberpunk fiasco but the beauty of a Bethesda game is that it could be utter garbage but the amount of mods and overhauls will be amazing. The community will the real saviors of this game if falls on its face.
You're not entirely wrong. Upon release, it was quite lukewarm to negative but people have really warmed up to it over the years. I was one who passed on it due to reviews but one free Gamefly subscription later had be buying the game outright because it was much better than reviews made it out to be and is a great example of how reviewers can be terribly wrong. More people over the years gave the game a chance and have found the same conclusions. In fact, I bought the game 3 more times l...
There's a press release announcement on twitter I think where they state that the "Remake" title has a different intention that a literal remake and that It's just one part of Remake, Rebirth and the final installment Re..??? I'm guessing the intention of "Remake" was Sephiroth trying to remake the timeline. Rebirth now hints at the Rebirth of who? Jenova? Zack? Sephiroth?
They're using RE engine but I really hope they use UE5.
I'm guessing no world map. A condensed/vastly different story. The opening narration pretty much tells us this.
Actually, every planet has it's own "interesting thing" however the real fun aren't necessary the planets, it's the moons, especially the moons of Jupiter and Saturn is where all the real fun action is.
How is this even news? Todd may as well tell us that ES7 and Fallout 6 is also going to come out...Starfield isn't even out yet and ES6 is still a decade away for all we know so who the hell cares about Fallout 5 at this point?
And this is the real reason why I'm very wary of Games Pass. If Games just keep getting " a pass" just because it's "Free on games pass". It'll eventually lead to all games being mediocre and gamers will just bend over and accept it because "Hey, it's free". Why bother trying at all when the masses still throw money at you for being crap?
Not having alien races was a huge mistake. The cities and colonies they showed of all looked very.....uninteresting. I mean they'd be super interesting if this was set 30 years from now and you were a colonist on a moon of Jupiter or something but this is supposed to be set in a time when we're already visiting distant star systems so everything looks so..pedestrian. The cities were just bland and the ship customization is cool but all the ships just look like a hodgepodge of mismatch...
It's going to be up to the modders again to make another Bethesda game palatable and playable, who could have guessed?
I wasn't talking about the planets specifically, I'm talking about the entire art direction. It doesn't make sense that they're this advanced across this many star systems and still look this as if they're using NASA based tech that could exist 30 years from now. Like I said, I was expecting something a bit more like Mass Effect level of advanced and aliens. The planets sound great and much more exciting than No Man's Sky. In fact, the planets sound like more what I ex...
Man Starfield looked a bit generic and had a serious lack of aliens, color me a bit disappointed... I was expecting something more in line with Mass Effect.. I expected being able to build space ships and having many planets though and were delighted to see that but again, damn the ships just look generic asf...
Well, as it turns out, we in fact all do have phones.
Hey, that's the same thing we said about DLC when it first came out and it was just shitty horse armor and now look where we are. Although, you're not wrong. I don't care for it and won't be buying it at all. I'll only play when this game is inevitably a "free" PS Premium game.
Man I swear if Square decides to shoehorn in NFTs into FF7 Remake, I'll still buy it I ain't gonna be happy about it.
Well, they're not your best friend, they're a public company who has to make money for investors, it's not a surprise. Rockstar fell to it, Bethesda fell to it, Blizzard fell to it, everyone has fallen to the mighty dollar.
Diaflop? It's pretty damn successful so I guess people do have phones.
If they can get away with it in Immortal, you can sure bet that they'll have it on their flagship Diablo game.

I think they're smart enough to realize that mods are the lifeblood of their games. If not for mods, Skyrim would have been a distant memory for most people who have all most likely stopped playing many years ago. I'm sure they'll have their curated creation club or whatever but free mods are still going to be a thing.
