No, this game is bad. Saying he didn't get it is such a cop out. It's a bad game, and if you DO get it, you have poor tastes.
Thanks for all of the comments, guys!
It's really great to hear so much feedback - both positive and negative.I know many of you think I'm unintelligent and absurd for writing such an "idiotic" article, but that's just fine. If opinion pieces didn't stir the pot a little bit, I don't think they'd be considered a success.
For anyone who's hugely opposed to what I think, just a tip - try not to open your comment by putting ...
I really want to go this year... and this makes it sound even more exciting.
It's difficult to take articles like this seriously, because there're nothing more than a stunt to get more hits. It's fine if you have a good point to make, but using a title like this? Low. If you want to be a good journalist, make the strong content in the article do the job - not a silly headline that angers people.
Please read the article.
Not complaining about the game, I'm describing how I learned this wasn't my style of game. I stated that I bet the game is fantastic.
If you're going to comment, please actually read what I had to say.
Sorry you didn't like my article, but at least get the facts right if you're going to post such a negative comment.
I did not put 15 hours STRAIGHT into Oblivion. I said total, which means over time.
Also, just putting cry some more only invalidates your argument. It's like ending a scuttle by sticking your tongue out and running away. If you love the game, that's great, but getting upset over this is only childish.
Kind of a lame title. Skyrim isn't the clear winner everywhere.
This isn't my review to defend, but since you haven't played the game yet, making a statement like this seems pointless.
Reviewers haven't just moved on - JRPGs haven't progressed. Being "as good" as two or even one generation before just isn't enough. I love JRPGs as much or even more than the next guy, but keeping to the same formula throughout the years just isn't enough.I've actually played this game, and while I enjoy the combat, it...
I wouldn't say that's too controversial - this is a much different game.
I felt Warhawk was more methodical, while Starhawk puts a greater emphasis on action and chaos. This is a fast-paced game, and I really think it will take some time for fans of Warhawk to warm up to it.
I prefer Starhawk so far, but only because I like my action fast and furious. I can see where you're coming from, though.
I've had an absolute blast (as you've probably read). If anyone wants to play, my PSN is Lionheart377.
Just letting you guys know - these are just some games from the fall. Killzone 3 and the many other threes that came out earlier this year weren't included.
So, here's a question: Does anyone want another Uncharted on this generation of consoles?
True, Killzone has been judged (usually unfairly) a great deal since the release of the first game. My review, however, is mostly positive. I enjoyed Killzone 3 a great deal, yet there are still a few issues listed that can't be ignored.
While the game-play could not keep up with the rest of Enslaved, it wasn't poor. It was serviceable, and did not push me away from the other shining features. I agree that the characters and writing are sublime - some of the best I have seen in a game - and the facial animations are astounding. Improvements are needed to make this a true AAA title, yet it is hard to deny the potential at Ninja Theory. I can't wait to see what they are going to do with DMC.
The ending was really odd, but for some reason it just fit. I can't defend it in any way, and I understand why you would dislike it, but it stuck with me. Thanks though, glad you liked it!
I do see what you mean, but it is difficult for this type of game to not seem slightly repetitive after a while. I think it is just a facet of the genre. I do agree with you though - this is the strongest action/hack-n-slash released during this generation.
You're welcome. You have a very well designed website and I'm surprise you just started. Everything looks great! And thank you, we have been working really hard to keep Reaction Time updated and hope to continue growing. No problem about the disagree thing, it happens!
Just saw the site for the first time today, and I really enjoy it! I am writing for one as well, and I love supporting anyone trying to make it in the industry since I am doing the same. I'll be checking you guys out when I can!
Thank you! I really enjoyed Enslaved, and know you would not regret your purchase. And to Jaws007 - great point. Not often do you see an attractive post-apocalyptic setting. The characters are probably my favorite part, mostly because of their believable interaction. By the way, if you want to hear more about Enslaved or any other recent games, I write for a website called Reactiontime.co.uk - any comments on there would be fantastic!
They're more than good - they're awesome.
