I hate the Wii and what it's done to the videogame industry.
We, as a whole, are trying to make a logical progression into more story-based and life-like experiences that can touch people like no other medium of entertainment can.
Frankly, the Wii holds that back. It's done nothing for the industry but attract millions of soccer moms and hyper children.
Bah humbug.
Yep.
I can forgive the arena shooters because those are completely different and are fiction and fantasy / sci-fi - based.
However, any shooter game that claims to be realistic in any way, and doesn't let you go prone, is FAIL
LOL a game with sniper rifles + no prone (Battlefield: Bad Company and now Far Cry 2) = FAIL
If they're smart, they'll include full keyboard and mouse support on the PS3.
The PS3 is built for RTS and MMORPG games with features like that to back it up.
WINE is excellent, it's getting better all the time.
Since when was it ever a joke?
Killzone 2 was never a joke. It isn't currently, and it won't ever be.
My two colleagues at PlayStation LifeStyle went to E3, and they said that Killzone 2 was really fun and very beautiful. They were absolutely dumbfounded at how amazingly well the game ran and how incredible everything felt and played out.
I take the words of a person who experienced it first-hand rather than someone who judges it based on screens and pre...
Ha!
I object, your honor!
I'm a PS3 (and ex- 360) owner, and I sure as hell don't prefer live over PSN.
I am going to waste my third and final bubble by saying that the WHOLE WORLD watches E3.
Who in their right mind could think for one SECOND that the E3 stage is not "big enough" for ANY announcement?
For crying out loud what is wrong with people these days?
Also, please refer to this when thinking of Microsoft:
http://dictionary.reference...
NOTHING is "too big" for the ELECTRONIC ENTERTAINMENT EXPOSITION
E3 = world fair of video games.
I am shocked at the sheer pomposity Microsoft has shown.
What a bunch of f*cking pompous asses! Wow!
If DeadSpace is a really good game, then I will lift my "crap-embargo" on EA.
Battlefield: Bad Company , Burnout Paradise, & Mirror's Edge don't count because they didn't develop them.
LOL, is it strange that none of that's new to me, at all?
Wow, what a blatant rip-off of Nintendo Miis....screw Microsoft, lol.
@ Sillelak and OOG
There are specific aspects of Sony's hardware that were blatantly copied later on by Microsoft. (HDMI, larger hard drive size, installations, HD Drive...just to name a few)
Microsoft is, in response to Home, releasing their own little social networking thing with the "avatars".
Microsoft loves buying games that were once Sony exclusives.
How can anyone, from either side deny those things? That's fact, and I'm jus...
Yeah, I bet pretty much the entire country of Japan is sh*tting on Sony right about now.
Baaaaaaaaaaad move, Sony. Baaaaaaaaad move.
LOL @ Microsoft playing "copy Sony" again.
They take PlayStation's games...
They take their hardware ideas...
They take their social networking ideas...
What's next?
All one has to do is play Uncharted: Drake's Fortune with Full RGB on to know that the PS3 can easily handle:
- Awesome textures
- Awesome layered animation
- Great HDR Lighting
- Great Volumetric Effects
- Fantastic aural surround sound (DTS, too!)
- High per-character polygon count
- Dynamic Soft shadows
- Skilled and difficult artificial intelligence
I hope this wolfenstein is just as dark and brooding as Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
How the hell did they cram that much detail into this game....the lighting is soooooo amazing.
I'm gonna go pale the first time I fire up this game in my PS3.
