Mafia 3 is the only game where i have just parked my car to turn up the audio and listen to the radio. My all time favorite game music track. It is one hit right after another mixed in with stuff like 96 Tears, Psychotic Reaction, and Time.
Mafia 3 gets my vote for best game music track for 2016. My only gripes with Mafia 3 audio is the low music volume and the overall car sounds.. Using the PS4 media player can fix the low music volume, but not the car sounds.
I can live without the exclusives as the games i like and play are multiplats. Fallout, Gta, Residedent Evil, Borderlands, Mafia, Bioshock,RDR, ect are all multiplat. Most multiplats were better on the 360 last gen while this gen the Ps4 has the edge and that is why i purchased a PS4 a year ago. Last gen i used a PS3 that i still have and continue to use.

I find Far Cry 3 a very unique game with only Far Cry 4 from this list to be like it. Well that is of the games i have played and going by the content of the games i have not played. FC3 is my favorite Far Cry game with multiple plays. FC3 is also one of my favorite last gen games along with Fallout 3, Borderlands 2, The Saboteur, and Gta 5.
A tad expensive to say the least and i agree with this article. However enough Megalodon cards are sold to keep it all running. The number of Megalodon regulars must be high. I wonder how many have spent $300 or more on money cards.
The success of online probably ended any dlc planed for sp. Money rolling in from shark card sales along with the small staff needed to maintain online made for high profits. Now add in the huge money earned from game sales on 5 systems and story mode dlc is not even on the radar.

No new survivals is disappointing. After more then 3 years not having North Yankton added is disappointing. Ever read or hear people talk about underwater play? I sure have not except for the old last gen walk underwater glitch that would occur sometimes. So delete all the underwater waste of resources and build up North Yankton, add a couple of gang attacks and survivals, add a new contact for a dozen new 1-4 player missions, and maybe a house to purchase. Some disappointments listed here can be simply avoided by not purchasing games on release. Wait for reviews, wait for reports from other gamers ( guinea pigs) that do purchase on release, and wait to see if patches are fixing anything. Also a cheap short rental can help in determining purchases.
For me i want both options of upgrading internals and externals. This gen of consoles should ship with at least 1TB and really need 2TB hard drives because of game sizes.

At this point i would rather have GTA 6. However if a "real" dlc is added to GTA 5 the number one feature needed off and online is a new map. North Yankton should have been added 2 years ago. No matter what new stuff is added to the original map it is still the same old map that many have been playing in since Sepember 2013.
This was a hot topic for 2 or 3 months after 5 released. Even top scientists from 15 countries could not find answers to the many interiors questions asked by gamers. One quess that was deemed highly plausible is that R* has within it's staff a ""does not like interiors guy" and probably shares an office with the "no fun guy."
Mafia 3 is the only one of this five i have played and to be honest it is better than what i thought it would be. From the hype videos i thought it looked stupid. Similiar to like watching a movie preview clip that makes me not want to see the movie even for free.
I found the repetition to be fun repetition, the created world interesting to cruise, and the music track is outstanding. Also there are gators, lots of hungry gators. The patches really improved the graphics.

Well for me on PS4 , after playing on PS3, the game actually works. That's sort of special. However the hotkey function in the original game was passed over for an upgrade. That's way far from special.
Great choice to have for playing Skyrim. However what i want the most from Oblivion in Skyrim, PS4, is the hotkey function setup Oblivion has. The same with Fallout 4 where i would prefer the old Fallout 3/ New Vegas hotkey setup to what is used in Fallout 4. Stop messing up stuff that works just fine, and does not need fixing!!!!!!!
In 2016 Gold games win over Plus games. Even Sony knows that. The only disagreement will come from those that can't get enough of indies. Backward compatibility gives MS a big advantage to xbone over ps4 in what can be offered.
After both lists for 2016 are compared it is all about which list has the most games you download and actually play. Adding to a backlog of games that you never really play does not count.
Well done article and description of one of the many interesting cities passed over for a video game location. San Francisco or Miami is probably the city of gta6.
My desire for gta 6 is a new city, foreign or domestic, not featured in a gta game. However San Francisco and surrounding area is much more appealing than Miami or New York again. Vegas would be nice but i would prefer a Vegas of the 1960 to 1980's.
Saintsrow 3 underrated? I enjoyed it and i believe it sold well. I remember it was a hot game in 2012.
A last gen game that may make an underrated list is The Saboteur released in December 2009. I could not find any sales numbers but i seems like only 10 people played it. For me it is a buy it new 60 dollar game.

That is good news, but disabling that awful tint should be in the game settings menu. Maybe the annoying blur i see is the dynamic dof the game has been reported to have and can be disabled through mod or settings menu? Disabled so the world looks like it does with normal vision.
I have viewed several PS4 Skyrim videos and the images look to have a soft blur and yellow tint. One video did side by side comparison between original pc and the PS4 version where the pc version looked sharp while the PS4 version in all outside scenes looked blurry with yellow tint and or overdone godrays. The PS4 version had more grass but it looked yellow and blurry.
Even with excellent fps and no crashing i don't want to play a yellow tinted blurry game.
Thanks for this excellent video and review of Mafia. I had some fun with my PS2 version even with the low res graphics. The great story and characters help to overcome tedious driving and the often poor gunplay.
A game world the size of Gta 5 would be huge if played with horses, wagons, and the slow trains of the 1870- 1880's. Just Cause 2 is huge even with jets.
