When Japans numbers come out, PS3 still sold more than 360 worldwide. If it wasn't for that crazy week when PS3 won by 45k, the numbers are staying about the same.
What is your problem? Have you been keeping track of how VG chartz is reporting it compared to NPD?
If you have, you would see that VG chartz has not been doing to PS3 favors or anything. So what makes you keep banking off that idea?

and in the United States it belongs to XBOX 360 by close to 100k.

For me, I'm most afraid of using the 360 for long downloads. I figure if it red rings while I'm playing video games, Oh well.
But when it comes to leaving it on hours downloading demos or movies. Things that are also very important and will be even more important in the future. I just feel guilty about it.

It's time to move on in my opinion. From a business aspect, Sony has to move on.
They can't keep having people play PS2 games forever. It's PS3 time now. PS3 can't be living in the shadow of PS2 forever. It was a legendary console but it's in the past.

Selling software becomes a pretty big key now in todays console war. You can't get third party developers on your side if they aren't selling software on your console.

That made me think, that Sony seriously doesn't mind going with the 40GB for right now.

HD DVD fans can't be feeling good this whole year. I think at some point, you just give up hope, it's less tormenting.

I wish PS3 was that close to 360 in the US. It's getting there but I'm not sure it's that close yet.
it looks like a futuristic Assassins Creed. Nothing stands out about this game in my view. It looks pretty good but that's about it.
