Question:
Why couldn’t Microsoft see this coming? You had Halo 3 coming out along with one of the best software lineups coming out during a holiday period. Those are obvious hardware drivers.
Answer:
We certainly did build up supply in anticipation of [the holidays]. We said back at E3 that we were going to have the strongest holiday ever. We certainly weren’t asleep at the switch. But the demand was simply greater than expected, and the supply jus...
He just didn't have an answer to how they got to the point where they had shortages.
I mean from what I've heard they didn't even sell as much in 2007 as they did in 2006.
I heard a report from 1up that 16% is the failure rate. Yeah right.
I'm one of the 16%?
I'm not that lucky.
They already have cheaper Sku's than PS3.
.
I mean what can HD DVD do? Of course it's over.
Is this even news at this point? Like the article says, it's been a death watch, not a war.
Shortages, Shortages, Shortages!!
Maybe it's true, But still. I didn't think PS3 had the ability to outsell 360 in North American, atleast not this month.
.
all I got to say
It's basicly a PS2 game. So it works better with the PS3 controller.
In the end, it's not that good of a game. I bought it and I'm feeling tired of it already.
In the end, it's true. It's a last gen game. Plays just the same, works the same, powerups are the same, I find myself doing nothing differently than I have for the last 3 installments.
Just the high definition visuals, and even that I've seen better visuals this gen.
So in th...
The title is not misleading.
While the Wii will sell more than PS3 in 2008. What they mean is that the PS3 is growing at a faster rate, that means the PS3 sales are the most improved.
The most improved player does not equal the top player.
It's hard to think right now that PS3 will outsell the Wii by 2011.
The way things are going right now, the Wii could have like 100 million install base by 2011.
Maybe I'm overdoing it. But you get the point. The Wii is hot.
and it's Blu ray
It was not 600,000.
look it up.
If you don't have an HDTV, then I agree don't buy a Blu ray player.
Make sure you have an HDTV first.
But can you honestly say that buying an HDTV isn't the way to go if you can afford it?
How many TV commecials do you see these days, about Standard TV's? It's all abou HDTV's now. And it will only become more true. HDTVs are the future, yes I recommend one. No chance that standard TV's make a comeback.
And to have an HDTV and not tak...
"What's the point of jumping to high def right now, especially if you don't even own an HDTV?"
How can you do that? How can you even jump to high def without an HDTV?
I wonder where people dig up this garbage.
Why should someone try to influence anyone not to make the jump to High Definition? Or atleast to put it off for a few more months?
It should be the opposite, the sooner more people do it, the sooner the next gen format can be fully realized.
That PS3 is gonna lay a huge egg. While, I'm a PS3 fan and I defend the console as much as I can. I still don't trust it. I still fear it' gonna cave in.
PS3 is still soft as hell. I wonder why on earth, it sells any consoles at all.
What can I say? The 360 is cheaper and so far has had the stronger games. Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Gears of War, The Orange box. 360 might want to share some of the award winning games you know.
The best games on...
Kinda like Devil May Cry 4. I regret buying it, Damn last gen game.
So if PS3 sales are rising because of Blu ray, then the future looks pretty good for right now.
It's kinda cool how it works. PS3 helps Blu ray, Blu ray helps PS3. Real teamwork.
