You can put Mario in another genres as a mainline release something that Nintendo has done well with no complaints from their fans. Halo had a RTS Halo that saw some success but they mainly kept it FPS because there old out of touch stuck in 2004 fanbase is too scared of change and largely got stale. 343 needs to re-invent or innovate with Halo and not worry about what a bunch of old ppl think.
The entirety of 343? They undergone major lays offs several years ago already but shutting them down completely will never happen. The fall of Halo is simply due to MS milking it every single gen. A milked game will get stale and eventually sour over time.
