lol I think a few people feel attacked on what I said.
You know what is a more interesting perspective? That there are people who REALLY want this game, yet they have convinced themselves that they would be okay with playing it on future devices not on the market yet then to buy it for the system it's coming on. These people are clearly the minority of the people who actually will get it regardless. But, to hate a system so badly that you have secured a future purchase in your head for a completely different device as long as it isn't the...
I’ve been using RPCS3 on my laptop to play a lot of my existing PS3 games on PC. And even with their programming and my hardware. The inconsistencies that arise gets jarring. Late pop ins and synchronization issues are pretty much on every game. I’m excited to see where it goes in the future but it’s honestly some wizardry these guys are doing to get as far as they have.
I’m sure Sony could make a whole division to focus solely on emulation of PS3 games. But I think their i...
The statement “every new entry is someone’s first” can literally be said about every game made.
Yes I have been looking into this as I’m working with a team currently on a kickstarter. And it is not that simple period if you are trying to distribute a quality project. And listen to the KEY WORD you said PORTING to the switch. That is a game that is MADE, released elsewhere and then updated for the switches code. This is not simultaneous development.
This is also smaller games, a game like ToCS is a much more elaborate game then say guacamelee or my friend is Pedro. A...
False, If you are going to go by a COMPANIES Standard there are procedures and process to go through. RD,Development and Production. There are channels they need to go through to make sure things work well for continuity. Even if the code isn't that different the HARDWARE IS, meaning optimization is a must. And the switch has not one but 2 performances on the one device. The PS4 2 different SKUs and Xbox one has 3 (because the base Xbox hardware is still different from the Slim and X.). ...
I realized a while ago hearing people cry for all games to go multiplat is dumb. Tale of Games spent decades building its reputation with its core fans releasing on one platform at a time. They are JUST now getting to multi platform thanks to Bandai Namco backing them. But I still feel it’s a bit redundant.
Tales of Games have a audience that’s relatively proven. But the new tales might introduce a new style to it might bring in a new audience.
I realized...
Look at that... a 38 year old company essentially confirmed exactly what we thought about what it takes to publish games. Although it’s nice to release on multiple devices it doesn’t exactly mean it will be a success and the cost of creating a team that knows the programming for one device doesn’t mean it is logical to split your R&D funds.
It works better for them to focus on their install base guaranteeing they give the quality they wish to achieve. Releasing on multi...
I bought it from GameStop after it was “delisted” for about 60. All it told me is that there are still codes for digital titles that distributors buy that are still live waiting to be used. That’s actually a good thing in the long run because retailers of course still want to sell those codes they had.
Days gone being on this list because they feel it “fizzled out” is the silliest thing ever. The game has gotten updates sense that has kept people playing and engaged as well as revisiting it a second time.
They put this on the list probably because they wanted the game to fail and fact is it hasn’t. Every other “disappointment” on this list was that because of people’s expectations with the exception of Anthem, Crackdown 3 and YllK.
And as for Crackdown...
Sony isn’t the only ones doing it, Nintendo and MS are doing it as well. People don’t like the Epic store exclusivities because of the practices the store has with consumer data.
@343 most third parties that focus on multi-platforms have a big publisher behind them. And the ones that don’t frequently have less quality output of games worth mentioning.
If you look at the sales of all FF games however, they tend to sell 5-6 times more on PlayStation devices then any other console. So it would make more sense to focus all development on PS first saving the cost of multiple teams in early development. THEN after it recoups it’s funds from the exclusivit...
We will see, the surge kinda suffers from the same thing lords of the fallen suffered from with me. Gameplay that is clearly inspired by souls like style. But the boss fights don’t seem to have the same level of great design as the souls game do.
Only DS2 had bad design of boss fights to me, but LoF and The Surge put those fights into perspective of how hard it is to balance challenge with reward.
I honestly don’t care about any of the justifications for this device but the more I think of sLite the more I realize it’s a terrible offer.
Worse screen
Worse performance
Limited features
Full retail game cost(the reason I used to go portable was because the price matched the experience. Tales of Cold steel being 60 or 50 on PS3 but 40 on Vita. Donkey Kong Country freeze being 40 on 3DS 60 on Wii U. PASBR 60 on ps3*including* vita digital copy 4...
Friend of mine said he baited Demon of Hatred into jumping off the cliff.... I was realllll close to ending our friendship...
I like my handhelds but I don't feel like this is only targeting me. It's an inferior version of the existing device with silly limitations on compatible games and I still have the same 60 dollar price for an inferior version of the product for it's big brother. I will wait for the Pro version to be announced, Nintendo has been following their same production style.
We have a Vanilla--> Pocket/modified version--> Stronger version:
DS-->DS Lite...
@Neonridr I’m sorry is this not a post discussing Pokémon’s graphics? Guess you can’t handle an open discussion where people express their experiences huh?
I stopped playing BECAUSE of the graphics. After you spend thousands of hours looking at the same generic interface with slight improvements from blue to diamond. It grows stale so I dropped playing them until X came out then I dropped them again for the foreseeable future.
With the amount of money this franchise makes releasing two copies of the same game for full retail of the platform. And only making small upgrades to remake an “old version” in the “current” engine. Is ...
That doesn’t seem to bad, I have a 2060 rtx and gears 4 runs at a decent 4K 30 max settings on that. So I’ll probably be looking at 1440p-1800p on that which should be perfectly fine.
I’m interested to see if it takes advantage of RTX as not many games do.
Multi-plat while also being cross generational as well. It had 2 gens to get where it is and PC help.... Damn
