So that means it does have a UHD player then. Because regular Blu ray drives cant play UHDs, not even with a patch.

I think some gamers are confused. Alot of talk of 4k gaming when its only upscaling. Then they want to walk you thru how they got it so close to 4K res.
Yet the machine is not a true 4K console but seems to be touted as such. Im not complaining, I dont have the TV to take advantage. But just an observation of what I see.
I have it pre ordered and already got 300 for my PS4 yesterday. So Im ready.
I like how you guys ignore the facts. A look online will show that people are in fact questioning Sony not having UHD on new slim and Pro. So you guys go on the defensive when it's brought up.

Well I was a current PS4 owner and sold mine today to fund PS4 Pro I have pre-ordered. So they did enough to entice me.
@Genuine, you didnt learn shit til yesterday about the PS4 Pro. Til then it was all specualtion. The Scorpio is a yr+ away. Im sure we'll see something several months before release just like Sony with PS4 Pro.
That weird I dont have a 4K TV. Oh yeah but Sony did say 1080p gamers are also in for a treat with better graphics. They showed as well.
Yeah they didnt use the PS4 slim or Pro to push UHD..not this time.

I think you're upset that the Scorpio will in fact run some games at native 4K and that the PS4 Pro will only upscale it. Its ok you know just enjoy the PS4 Pro and let the Xbox fans drool rabbid over what the Scorpio could be.

@antnee, I remember them saying Scorpio would be both backward and forward compatible. Meaning Xbox 360 games and upscaling of Xbox One games already out.
The Scorpio with its beefy specs is not being touted as next gen by MS. They've gone as far as to say that there wont be any Scorpio exclusives aside from the VR stuff and just like the PS4 Pro will have forward compatibility, making the games now look even better on the Scorpio. But who knows, MS has been known to switch shit up, I just wait and see.
But thats a ways out. Right now Im just focused on getting my PS4 Pro paid off. I have several offers on my PS...
