No it wasn't confirmed, but wow you should have seen the gloating about how the X1 has closed the gap and yada yada. This almost turned into another embarrassing Project Cars moment for some.

I already have one lol. Gamer tag: TheUpsetWookie. I bought one specifically for MCC and Ori. I think it's a great system. I honestly thought the conference was just ok. Edit I love Remedy, AlanWake was incredible so I'm excited for QB that also helped plus GameStop was having a system trade in sale and got the X1 for 143$. Anyway why are you so upset?
I was expecting more. Quantum Break looks really good though. But the conference isn't going to sell systems like I thought it would. All in all it was meh. Man, Sony better watch out....
I agree, QB, Recore and Scalebound impressed the heck out of me (but they need to clean Scalebound up, its a bit stiff and runs like crap). Crackdown looked like absolute garbage like it always has.
Quantum Break looks flat out amazing.
Why would Sony be scared, because of Crackdown. That game was garbage then and it will be garbage now. Scalebound and Quantum Break look promising but neither will make Sony flinch. Plus Sony has the largest presence at Gamescom, stupid article.

@Nei- I never said it wasn't. I don't put down other people's system of choice. The X1 is a solid system and its flaws are subjective. Same with PS4 but it's very well established that Sony has the best studios and have really diverse and creative games plus superior third party support and more power. It's not a conundrum that it is more popular than X1.
@Nei- it's in no way the same situation. The 360 had a 1YEAR head start. You don't have to be a genius to know how it would have gone had they came out at the same time. 360 would have never gotten into the homes it did if it wasn't the only choice people had for a year. X1 will never match PS4. Sony would have to stop selling PS4's for X1 to have a chance. It's a solid system with a solid library, that's why it's besting Xbox.
Dude you nailed it, can't understand the disagrees. X1 has lost this gen. It will never close the gap, people fail to realize this doesn't mean it's a crap system and it's not going anywhere. The thing that hurts the X1 (on N4G for starters) are the insane claims and slander from Xbox fans towards the PS4. If they wouldn't say things like "Don't know why PS4 is selling it has no games", they might be taken seriously.

Halo is the only game capable of making a blip on the radar, a lot of people without X1's can wait for Tomb Raider, and Forza is in no way a system mover. MS is going to heavily discount their system with bundles this holiday. It's the only way. Second place isn't a bad spot but when there's only two competing it looks a lot worse.
The PS4 is steam rolling everywhere. It's what happens when you have great games on a solid system. Been playing Ethan Carter and am really happy it was brought to PS4. And knowing the developers of this game made their money back the first week on PSN, solidifies mindshare of publishers and developers, bringing more games to the system with little risk if its a quality title.
I'm thinking it's more about all the JRPG's, first party games and third party domination that's going to do it for them.
And Horizon Zero Dawn eats Crackdown, Scalebound and Quantum Break for lunch.
