Trophies for me a mixed bag. Yeah, they can be fun in a 'my knob is bigger than your knob' type of way lol, but it shouldn't be the reason why you're playing/replaying the game. I (stupidly) didn't play Afro Samurai when I bought it many months ago because it didn't have any trophies. I recently played and finished it and nearly kicked myself as I loved every minute of it! I even played through it a second time with no trophy incentive.

Also, I always thought that having a game with fully destructible environments would be too easy....that's the feeling I got when playing Red Faction anyway. Tactics could change from "strategically moving round your enemy to get a hit" to "Blowing $hit up and hoping someone dies in the blast" lol

I have NEVER been so pissed off at such a shoddily made game. It's the only game I have ever bought which I have never finished!! I think I got as far as the snow section....then I wanted to throw up! Piece of $hit game and probably one of the few times I actually agreed with the web reviews. I was so pissed off with it...
I agree with you 100%!!!! I'm a huge JRPG fan and I'm gutted about what they have done to FF13 which I'm currently playing. I've put in around 90 hours into SO4 and I still haven't found all the 'post games' stuff yet. That is what a JRPG should be about, exploration and nice surprises for your hard work.

Star Ocean 4 will not disappoint! The battle system is amazing and some of the'super combos' you can pull off later are crazy. I remember in the good ole days, reading CVG's preview of FFVII and they showed Midgar and all the characters in the city. At the time, I thought I knew pretty much everything there was to the game, so I was bloody ecstatic when I went past that motorbike scene, killed the boss and found out that there was a HUGE world to explore after I got out of town!!!

...but the thing that gets me is why does GOW, Dante's Inferno, Darksiders etc... get scrutinized for being similar when there are hundreds of bloody fps's out there that are not doing anything spectacularly different either?!!!
