Maybe Sucker Punch should worry about making a better game (with better gameplay and better story), instead of worrying about great graphics. Their last game Infamous Second Son, wasn't that great.
As for their new game, hope it's a new IP. Let Infamous rest for awhile.
@WeAreLegion
"But it's one of the most fun games in years."
Infamous Second Son is repetitive as hell with a lame story. If you find that fun, then good f...
DX12's advantages will mostly be seen in the PC market, namely on recent and future graphic cards, not so much on the X1... I think.
If people expect all future X1 games to be 1080p/60fps due to DX12, they are going to be disappointed.
Don't think it's worth it since I only have a PS4. My PS+ subscription finished last month and have no intention of renewing it any time soon. Have the PC for my online necessities...
Now if you have a PS4, PS3 and a Vita, then PS+ is worth it.
Rockstar are too big for their own good. If their games had crap sales, maybe then they would start caring about their customers.
Rockstar should remember something. Everything that goes up, eventually comes down...
"Could 2015 be the year the Xbox One strikes back?"
So far, no. First half of 2015 X1 has no exclusives. Microsoft really needed a couple of exclusives in these first 6 months... bad planning. Looks like they learned their lesson, since Quantum Break will release in the first half of 2016.
As for the 2nd half 2015, it looks good for the X1, with exclusives like: Halo, Forza, Tomb Raider (timed), and probably a few more.
Microsoft ne...
Actually no. Neill Blomkamp was to direct Halo but unfortunately that failed, so he and Peter Jackson decided to make a movie based on a short film made by Blomkamp in 2006, called Alive in Joburg... and that's how District 9 was born.
EDIT: @Septic
"But they used a lot of the assets from the failed Halo endeavour in this didn't they?"
Don't think so. District 9 is intirely based on the short film Alive in Joburg.
As for Halo, Mic...
Saw first episode of Powers but didn't like it. Not interested in seeing rest of the season. What surprised me in a negative way was the bad acting.
Take a look at a recent series made by Amazon, called Bosch. It's very good.
I was expecting a great single player experience in the Star Wars universe, with a few multiplayer maps where people could fool around with friends... what we get is a multiplayer game like Battlefield, Titanfall or Evolve, where a person gets fed up playing a few maps and moves on.
For me, the hype for this game is completely gone. Looks good, like all Dice games, but NOT interested. I'll just go see the Star Wars movie, looks way more interesting.
I hope Dice doesn'...
"AMD lost $180 million and GPU market share in Q1"
AMD have good cards, but Nvidia have better drivers, better TDP, more stable cards and have a better PR department... that makes a hell of a difference. If we take a look at the mid-range graphics cars, AMD have a pretty good selection of cards compared to Nvidia, but they simply don't sell as much. AMD Radeon R9 285X is probably the best mid-range card at this moment.
BTW, I don't think con...
"Battlefront gives Sony edge over Xbox this holiday"
Probably not. Battlefront is multiplatform... and can be played first on X1's EA Access.
Microsoft has Halo and Tomb Raider (timed exclusive) for this holiday, and likely some deal with Call of Duty.
NO single player campaign... NO buy.
Don't want another Titanfall.
EDIT:
@PockyKing, Allsystemgamer
Star Wars: Battlefront is essentially a multiplayer game.
I like single player games and if it has multiplayer, then it's a plus. If it has Co-op, another plus.
As for Multiplayer only games, NO thanks. Hype for this game went down the drain...
Dammm... Kojima really pissed the Konami people.
"Red Goddess delayed again, is releasing on PS4 6 months before Xbox One & PC"
So the people that supported them on Kickstarter that don't have a PS4, get a big f*** off. That's nice. /s
This is the reason I never support developers on kickstarter or early access... any chance they get, they will sc**w you.
"F1 2015 runs at 1080p on PS4, 900p on Xbox One"
Not surprising.
Like I said before, Microsoft lost this gen the mutiplatform market, and with that, the console "war". Most people will always purchase the PS4 version of mutiplat games.
Microsoft wanted to save a few bucks on the X1's graphic card, and that's going to cost them dearly...
@blackout
The count doesn't matter. Sony don't need exclusives, since the PS4 is selling quite well. Multiplatform games are selling the PS4.
It's Microsoft that needs more exclusives to see if they can match the PS4's sales, since not many people are going to purchase a X1 for multiplatform games.
The company that's winning doesn't have to do sh*t as long as their product keeps on selling. It's the company that's loosi...
"Project CARS is 1080p on PS4, 900p on Xbox One"
Not surprising. Microsoft lost the multiplatform battle this generation since the beginning. Hope they learned their lesson.
Microsoft need way more X1 exclusives if they want to match the PS4 in sales. Last gen multiplatform games helped sell the X360, this gen it won't happen much with the X1.
@chobitDOLLFIE
Did I speak about XBL Gold offerings?
NO.
I don't care for XBL Gold offerings, because at this moment, I don't have a Xbox.
I was talking about PS+. PS4's PS+ offerings have been crap most of the times.
For PS4 only owners, PS+ for April was crap (and most of the months before)...
If it wasn't for mutiplayer, I don't think many PS4 owners would bother with PS+.
@Spotie
"Sony is having ZERO problems selling the PS4"
Use your head and think about it.
If Sony had ZERO problems selling the PS4, retailers wouldn't need these PS4 promotions. The PS4 would be flying off the shelf without the promotions...
@Abriael
"Ultimately, how many good superhero games are there, besides infamous?"
Batman... and the LEGO superhero franchise :-)
