Xbox have put all their eggs in one basket, and now realize that incredible games are not so easy when you need to chase engagement and subscribers, instead of just investing in and game and selling it at a premium price to make the return on it.
They have chased this for so long that they believe their own rubbish to the point that Phil believes making great games wont sell Xboxes.

Graphics style is horrible and I'm guessing it's F2P monetized nonsense.
I'll wait/hope for Quidditch to be added to Hogwarts Legacy.
I straight up refused to buy Plague Tale at 30fps.
I'll wait till I upgrade my PC and play it there cheap down the line.
Redfall wont even get downloaded to my series X if it's running at 30fps... just embarassing.
It more likely has the potential to be one of the biggest flops.
No performance mode, no play for me.
I held off playing this until this was implemented. This was a deal breaker and I had decided i'd likely just skip the game unless performance mode was added.
I'll very likely buy the game within the next week or so.
