What I'm getting from this is the game is just as good as 14 if not better but the servers suck and bring it down. Which is something 2k fans are used to, but that doesn't make it acceptable.
I think everyone is expecting some kind of delay for Far Cry 4. But the two AC's won't be taking sales away from each other. Anyone with a next gen console/PC is getting unity. Anyone with an old console will get rogue or wait till they get a new console for Christmas. If any of the AC's get delayed its gonna be rogue.
@uth11 I think it is a vocal minority that does these things. I usually don't comment and just read the article/comments. Leading up to DC launch I saw both camps taking shots at the other. It's nothing new, and I don't think anyone group of "fanboys" are responsible.
I would said the reason for the "hate" is FH2 and Driveclub were simply pitted against each other because they were exclusive racers coming out at around the same time. FH 2 has been critically more acclaimed, while Driveclub has seen good reviews just not as good. Just fanboys throwing out numbers really. Just because a game has a lower score doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable or worthwhile. While I can't personally say Driveclub is since I haven't played it. Nonethele...

People don't get this. New IP's don't always start off at the top. Look AC 1, pretty barebones experience. Still a fun game with a good foundation and premise. People are complaining about watchdogs, titanfall, and now Destiny. Sure they're not masterpieces but the developers are learning and no doubt will improve with the next iterations.
Because games aren't cheap. With the amount of games coming at this fall I doubt people have the money to drop $60 every time a somewhat interesting game releases. It sucks feeling like you wasted $60 on game, especially when a much better one comes out 2 weeks or a month from now.
I don't think you always say it's about money. Notch didn't want the spotlight and responsibilities so he sold his company. Obviously he's going to sell it for as much as he could get.

You really can't say they're better. Given the fact developers work on time constraints, develop for different platforms, and have to make sure their game is playable on weaker tech. Not saying some modders work isn't amazing but I don't think you can compare the two.
