people have always used third party controllers. I don't know how old you are and if you have ever had any experience with machines pre 93 it was more common place then than it is nowadays. sega machines used to accept atari joypads for instance. i have a fragfx and i've never got used to it. Firstly it didn't want to update the firmware then randomly i tried about 1 month after having it and it did update. I found the whole quality to low and the whole to small for my hands so ended up putting it in the cupboard. hope this one works better.
got my copy midnight at an asda in birmingham and i'm not sure about shelf space as the copies were at the tills but i can tell you for a fact there was more ps3 copies being sold including my copy. Maybe it has something to do with the general age of a ps3 owner to an xbox owner so most xbox owners were in bed or told to wait by their parents. On a side note i was amazed at asda's £23 price tag !
i played it at a mates house at the weekend on his 360 and it was awesome. the sound track was good and the graphics were emersive even on his 32" 720p screen instead of my 40" 1080p. the final boss is hard even on easy so i can see even the single player taking some time master. I'm going to buy it on the ps3, i have a 360 i'm just miffed off with it erroring at random times and i also prefer the psn pricing structure.
i agree with king_many_layers. i hadn't played a wrestling game since the end of the 90's and i've got to say the controls are F'ed up. the graphics are better of course and you get more types of games but he controls are to linear and all the moves look poorly animated when transitioning from one move to another

firstly this won't mess up your ps3, secondly i dought sony will completely fix this as they have never managed to stop swap magic disks from working and all this is don't is enabling a piece of eggsisting ps2 software work on the ps3 with virtual memory cards

i have this on SE bluray and i've also got a BD rip of it to watch outside the house.
i mostly use my psp to stream movies to tv's either in the bedroom or around friends. I like better tv resolution's. it struggles on a normal SD pal screen and it fails at HD. the picture is never square it always has some warp. another thing i'd like is a slightly more powerful cpu so passably tomtom emulation could work instead of the psp's poor gps software.
in terms of strategy i suppose it does. it also may numb some feelings of shock that you may experiance. but no i don't think it makes a better killer, drugs or mental illness does a much better job
