My list would be as follows:
1) Tales of Vesperia
2) Ar Tonelico 3
3) Star Ocean International
4) Resonance of Fate
5) White Knight Chronicles
There is not one title from the Tales series on that list. Do they live under a rock?
Edit: And no Valkyria Chronicles or Demon's Souls?
Darn. I was hoping for something Tales related. I can't get enough of the series.
The prequel is in the form of an anime movie called Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike. It's only in Japanese right now but an English dub shouldn't be ruled out.
You are absolutely right but a fool can dream can't he?
If it's a sequel to Tales of Vesperia then I'll die happy.
Put Tales of Vesperia on there right now!
I really enjoyed watching this anime episode and look forward to the ones in the future as they hit Halo Waypoint. If you haven't seen it yet then I highly recommend that you do before it's too late. Halo Legends is a breath of fresh air for the series and it's something both Halo and anime fans should really be excited for.
Magna Carta 2!!!
Less Star Wars? No! We still need Battlefront 3 and a sequel to Republic Commando. Also, something else we need is the ability to play PS2 games across all PS3 consoles and not just to the early adopters.
If this ends up being a hand held game then I'll be royally pissed.
You can't go wrong with Tales of Vesperia. It is already available for the PS3 in Japan and I'm confident that it will hit western retail. I think it would have made that list if had been available everywhere by now. A brilliant game.
What a spoiler filled headline that was. I'm not too surprised but I would have preferred to figure that out on my own.
Ah well, that was a boring read. On the bright side though, my Epic Battle Cry episode has finished buffering. Time for some competency and entertainment.
But if it was dropped then why was it revealed back in August that Sony was working on a patent to emulate the emotion engine through software? I know that Jack Tretton said that backwards compatibility was not coming back in an interview when the Slim was announced but it's ironic how he also said that there wasn't going to be a PS3 Slim but lo and behold. It's not a question of "if" it's coming back, it's a question of "when." And that's what I want to know. If it's not...
Backwards compatibility should also be a top priority. But I'm not seeing any headlines like that now am I?
Dang it. This ticks me off. And it shouldn't. I mean, I have nothing but respect for Sony and the PS2. I congratulate them on this outstanding achievement. But this awesome feat also comes with a price. It means that the PS2 won't die so they can get around to providing backwards compatibility any time soon. And I want to play those gems from the PS2 so bad. Oh well, not all is lost, I'm just going to have to go out and pick one of those badass PS2s up myself. Kingdom Hearts here I come!
This game looks so promising. I've never seen anything like it. I really wish that the press conference had mentioned whether the combat will be turn-based or maybe a little something akin to Tales of Vesperia. The description of the music system as well as the in-game footage from the trailer leads me to believe that it will have a combat system to the latter. If so, then it will be a day one buy for me when it hits western retail.
Star Wars: Republic Commando is missing from that list.
The article does not mention how you can acquire the country flags that have text on them. For example, there is the plain Canadian flag but then there's another Canadian flag that has the text "Great White North."
