Can't see the xbox brand catching up to PS this gen...unless MS purchase some super high end Japanese properties or something huge like that...Very doubtful...What i do see is the X selling significantly better than the Pro and by the time Sony starts the "next gen" race in three years, Xbox consoles will be a quite a bit closer to Sony's consoles than most people thought possible. X is going to do well.

The X1X is going to do well....It won't bring the Xbox one family of consoles to 60 million, but it will certainly increase sales and is looking as though it has a good chance to outsell the pro head to head. Time will tell but stop hating on it.. Just accept the fact it is off to a good start!

In N.America at least it literally did sell out with maybe a handful showing up on shelves a week or so later quickly disappearing."Four years"??? I recall them bringing up 4k more than a few times. Fact is Sony should never have brought out the pro with the user base it already has. There literally was no need for it. they had the more powerful console already. They had nothing to prove. .MS is in a great position because they lost a good chunk of their user base with the poor reveal, weaker console and higher price point with the Xbox one. Not every gamer is loyal to one brand...many go back and forth with the highest specked console ...
I think the pre orders..unless increased are literally sold out everywhere now.

How every game was compared when the Xbox had the lowest resolution. PS fans dign't seem to have a problem with that.
It is kind of true...Halo, Grears and Forza sell insane numbers...However, MS need to invest in new exclusives that will grow to the same level of those three over time.

The X has a high chance of losing the NPD on launch month??? IT is already sold out of the pr-orders in most places...Amazon took 15 minutes to sell out. Pretty sure is will destroy all other console sales during its first month. Actually, I'm pretty sure it will outsell the Pro most months after its release. From the looks of it, sales in Europe are doing pretty good. Most likely will see a first run sell out in most areas over there as well. Why is that a bad thing?
Don't forget pixel count....IF a game doesn't have enough pixels it is automatically vilified by some.
Exclusive wise, yes...it was a slow year....Cuphead is coming out soon, and that game looks amazing if that is your cup of tea (no pun), but when it comes down to it, it is looking like 2018 is going to be a really good year overall.
A "perfect" console would probably cost consumers at retail roughly $800 to $900....that being said, the X is a powerhouse no matter "if" it may have a short coming or two. Even at $500 it is a beast and a very good bang for the buck! Can not wait for my Scorpio edition!
