Well obviously they gave permission. But were they the ones that came up with it, or like you said, they just liked it? Or maybe they're just messing with people and building some hype and chatter. In The Island they also had Xbox logos in a fight scene. Not the first time they did this. Doesn't change the fact that the name is stupid. 360->720 just because it comes after the 360 is stupid.
