This would pretty much guarantee PS6's domination if it's true. Can you imagine $549 PS6 vs $999 Xbox X2? It doesn't matter if it's 2x the TFLOPs of a PS6. Only hardcore gamers will buy it! A PS6 with 30-40 TFLOPs will be enough for next-gen. Sony may even choose to sell a digital-only PS6 Pro at $799 on launch day to complement the base PS6 and it would still sell better than a thousand-dollar XX2. I wouldn't expect a XX3 if this happens as Microsoft will likely exit the ...

That's usually my preference. But at 720p in 2025 with a 4K TV? Yikes.

1. Dynamic AI for NPC - Supporting character AI that responds to your voice in real-time. Imagine getting pinned down and then just say "Alyx, throw a smoke grenade and give me covering fire!" and then she does it after responding "OK!". How about having a conversation with Alyx?

2. FOV graphical render using NVMe SSD - A graphics rendering feature that is built-in the game engine so that your GPU and CPU only renders what player is seeing. Current graph...

Lets not kid ourselves. We all saw how sales spiked heavily when they introduced the OLED Switch. Anybody who has been gaming for more than 20 years can tell you that Nintendo will definitely release a new model with OLED screen down the line with some other minor hardware improvements (better battery, faster clockspeed, etc.).

lol yeah no. PC is great and all but adult console players who primarily plays on consoles will always stick with consoles. PC gaming is largely for enthusiasts that owns both and those who are really into games on PC that are not available on consoles.

I still remember the gameplay reveal during E3 2003.. Man, the graphics was like a major upgrade from Halo 1 and it blew everybody's mind. It looked miles ahead of anything on PlayStation 2 and the score was epic! When it launched, Halo 2 was worthy of every bit of hype it generated.

Work and having babies got me so busy to play SP games for the past few years.. Now that my babies are starting to sleep through the night, I can finally play the FF Remake games and I can't wait to get the PS5 Pro to play the best visuals mode!

Y'all are too fixated on the supposed GPU and CPU spec, you're forgetting that the PS5 is a CONSOLE. Developers has better access to the inner workings of the console, so much so that they can even code down to the metal for them to squeeze every ounce of performance.

Also, PS5 Pro is being positioned as a high-performance and high-fidelity alternative to the regular PS5 experience. The PSSR is literally touted as an upscaling tech to achieve that resolution without...

Another dumb insider "leak". £499 now seems cheap compared to the confirmed £699 price.

While it's crazy that the price is US$699 for a digital-only option, I think it's even crazier that the PS5 had a price increase rather than the traditional price cut after 4 years being in the market. PS4 launched at US$399 in 2013 and the slim version came out at US$299 in 2016. PS5 digital edition came out in 2020 at US$399 and then the Slim variant launched last year at US$450, HIGHER than the FAT version. The PS5 is an obsolete tech and at US$450, it doesn't make sense to buy...

We've known this for decades. Even 8-bit graphics can provide countless hours of enjoyable gaming time. But let's not kid ourselves. We tolerate the Switch's graphical performance because it's portable and Nintendo makes games that aren't pushing the graphical envelope. Creative gameplays, sure, but nothing that blows your mind.

That's where traditional consoles like PlayStation and Xbox comes in. They're meant to catch up with the latest graphi...

I see a lot of comments saying Bungie should make the next Killzone. I don't know about you guys but I find it hilarious for a studio to make a game from a franchise that was dubbed as the killer of the studio's former flagship game. Killzone didn't turn out to be the Halo killer we all wanted but it was a pretty decent game nonetheless.

He's a nightmare to PR guys like me. The kind of boss that wont stick to the briefing deck and most likely to say the wrong shit or stir unnecessary shit up that will get the Comms team blamed for it.

Nahh it has to be the leap from PS1 to PS2. Sony's monolith square box ushered in a major shift in graphics and online multiplayer. The first time I played SOCOM and Madden online, it felt more next-gen than anything. Then GTA3 launched and suddenly now we got a whole city to traverse and explore which set a whole new precedent in gaming. This is why the PS2 is the most sold game console in the world until now.

From the moment they announced Gamepass, I knew they're going to go the SEGA route. Future Xbox hardware will be cloud gaming devices. We probably will have 1 more generation of standalone Xbox consoles before they go cloud-only. The adoption of 5G tech and fiber internet at home is just not widespread enough all over the world and likely won't be until 2030.

Of course it's not good enough. It's a dedicated Remote Play device that doesn't even support Bluetooth, THE wireless standard for audio. Sure, it'll be more useful when PS Now is enabled on it but we'd be better off with a PS Vita 2.

At this point, if you're an Xbox fan and you're still saying that the Series S is not holding back the Series X, you're delusional. There's so many devs already confirmed that extra work and compromises were needed to make their games run on Series S. I'd argue we would've seen devs using the potential power of the 12TFLOPS of the Xbox Series X by now if it weren't for Series S.

And now about 75% of Xbox Series console sales are from Series S.. ...

While it sucks that GT7 wont make full use of PS5's capabilities, a PS5-only GT7 probably wouldn't have been that much different than what it is gonna be now. Racing games rarely innovate beyond fancier visuals and fast-loading wouldn't matter for an online race since everyone has to wait for everybody to start the race. On the plus side, there will be tons of PS4 players to race with. We're just gonna have to wait for GT8 for a true PS5-only GT.

Seeing how ...
