but I dont think core owners will even notice that they are missing out on a couple of features.
People who bought the core are mostly casual gamers and/or young kids who dont give a damn about online etc.These very same gamers dont give a damn about not having a HDD in the wii and not being able to play online on the wii.
So its probably bad for the devs but the owners dont care otherwise they would have bought the premium model.
So all in all its not a HUGE loss...

yeah ok , Res takes up 17gb but better looking games with better gamplay and longer than Res fit into a dvd9 (Bioshock , Geow , Mass Effect , COD 4 ) so once again why do you need bluray for games when you can fit WAY better games on a dvd9 ? Nobody cares about HD films for the moment except for "geeks" , cinephiles and gamers in general.I heard something like there was all together (bluray plus HDDVD) 80 000 stand alone players sold in 2007.Compare that to dvd standalone players and you'll see that bluray just isnt as huge as sony fanboys would like it to be , for the moment.
DVD is just fine for films and for games for the momnt.I dont see one single bluray game on ps3 that that cant be done on the 360 with Dvd....
