Nobody can deny the fact that Killzone 2 is a remarkable game but the fact remains the pS3's biggest region is japan and shooters dont sell well there, plus it hasn't been released there as well.

We dont know the size of god of war 3 yet.... from the developers statements about levels, graphics, sound, and polish they may use a 50 gb bluray disc. Your Idea would be super sweet if we could play all from one disc, hdrevisions of god of war 1 and 2.

Onslaught was a BEAST, and I just paid $90 bucks for Marvel vs Capcom 2 (PS2). I agree if they could just slap on online vs for LIVE and PSN. forget about the HD remix that would take months.
Sony has stated that the new cell processor's are 1/2 the size and cost of the original. This was announced over a year ago. in addition the difference between the two current models are the hardrive size. 80 gb at $399 and 160 gb at $499... $100 difference for double the harddrive. there's no difference in any other internal or external features.... so logically one could assume if sony rereleased the 40gb ps3 it would go to $299.
1. reduce the cell processor size and price, which they have....
2. reduce the cooling system... which with the smaller and cheaper cell processor, they could use a regular fan system....
3. use a smaller harddrive size.... 40 gb hard drive would be enough and they are changeable....

Sorry but on hardware sales alone the Wii makes about $25-50 dollars for every system sold. microsoft due to the read ring fiasco hardly makes anything if any money at all on units sold so they rely on Xbox Live, DLC, and Addons to make money, which they used to cut there losses with the RROD problem and are starting to turn a profit.

The game cost the same to make as any other big game. however it was about 30 million+ but the very bulk of that money and time was used to create the engine which sony will be using it with most of it's first party games. this is kinda why Gran tourismo 5 is taking so long!!! and to lower the cost they released GT5 prologue to make some of the money back.

I think many people are making it seem like the PS3 will sale millions but the number of PS3s sold will likely only raise by 3 times as much. in japan whenever a big exclusive drops the number of PS3 sold goes from the average 15,000 to 10,000 units sold per week to about 55,000 units sold. Dead Space controls for a 3rd person survival horror game was spot on. My main gripe was the second character that was going to be with you at all times would be useless. according to sesslar it suck unless playing in co-op. i'm tempted buy MLB 09 the show first and wait for RE5s price to go down.
I couldn't agree more. By fanboy knowledge wii fit and Wii Sports are the two greatest games of all time... any real gamer knows thats not true..
And I remember reading an article on here stating that Killzone 2 PS3 bundles counted as Harware sales vs software sales... so the official numbers on Killzone 2 will have to come from sony....
