i thought i was the only person worried activision might pull off some legal trick to halt the release of this game but it appears the judge doesn't see much of a case in it.... best news all day...
2k games still releases borderlands, and or the lawsuit between activision and the developers of brutal legend doesn't force a court ordered hold on release....
i know right now they have more. so my biggest concern now is that all the original games scheduled for release around that time (GOW3, Crackdown 2, Lost Planet 2) may all be pushed back as well to avoid "competition"
my holiday shopping list has lost two more games this week.... the main 360 exclusive i wanted and another multiplat....
my real concern here is if dark void is pushed to early 2010 does that mean lost planet 2 will be pushed back later in 2010.... and where is dead rising 2?
i was on 1up.com prior to the games release looking at videos where i stumbled upon the two actors in their recording sessions and thought wow that maybe part of the reason why games are higher now.....
but dont get me wrong the two men did an excellent job but whatever they were paid they could have easily found at a acting school for far less...
and i think it's a logical step and could be used greatly with lower budget games... the problem however still lies in finding ways to initially reduce production cost...
less hollywood voice actors.... they are not cheap and you can find talented and thrifty voice talent at a major arts college...
product placement... im sure apple paid a pretty penny to have an ipod featured in MGS4... and am i the only person expecting to see a major soft drink appear in Moder...
I got into an argument over at my local gamestop about this a few weeks ago...
Call of Duty: World at War had Keifer Sutherland of 24 fame and Gary Oldman of Batman fame were both voice actors with huge entertainment success. Now I wont claim to know the total amount each man got paid but im betting it was over 1 million each.
There are way to many cheap and good voice actors to spend that kind of money on.
Note Micheal Ironside is sam fisher... he...
thats an equally cool idea
twitter those suggestions, they would be pretty sweet
that seems pretty cool... sorta like a berserk mode..
cause god knows everyone wants to play a game where every gun, rifles and pistols, only fires one shot and then a 3 minute reload...
i see what you mean... i've been following mag and im excited for it as well, cover looks good by the way... but nothing on the cover screams the key element of the game, massive battles...and it's odd they would leave it out...
i agree... and im not saying it to offend anybody but it just seems that if i cut a check for an exclusive.... it should remain exclusive...
As Tecmo has pretty much shown everyone that signing a exclusive deal has it's loopholes... ninja gaiden 2 360 exclusive 2008, ninja gaiden sigma 2 ps3 exclusive 2009... with the differences, being for better or worse minor tweaks and a name change....
dont be surprised if other companies follow this process...
a beat em up on psp/ps3...
thanks for the lesson dude... i honestly did'nt know...
for the game companies start in march... so this means Bioshock 2 pushed back to no earlier than march 2010.... bummer
???
I was the opposite way... i will say the story behind infamous is pretty cool and comic booky (best way i can describe it). if you dont want to buy it you should at least give it a rent....
360 gets another game and the ps3 version isn't shovelware.... however not enough shown for me to get excited for any version...
