Puts them in a good spot for the future. For now though its still For a, Halo and Gears...no new IP amd everything else they showed was Muliplat
Good dev, lets hope they do to them what they did to Rare and Lionhead studios...
Very good presentation IMO but no reason given to buybam Xbox. Maybe in 2 or 3 years when the new games get developed but right now a ton of those were multiplat or on PC.
I felt it had the right amount. Trolls, Dragons, Valkeries, Gods were all tough epic fights
N4G isn't a new site it's a collect of articles and op-ed's from other sites which is why I love it.
Great article. I felt that after Zelda and Mario there would be this drought of content. Nintendo makes great games but with hardly any new IPs and not a strong third party support, owners get these lulls on the console. For me thinking about when the next Zelda or Mario coming out is old hat and Nintendo needs to move past that.
The games rotate so a game you might love and want to play might not be there 2 months later. Or if you are going on a trip you'd have your VC library but now since they are online...nope.
Got it!
I feel it is amazing it is not a new console but a very nice improvment over OG ps4. It also isnt a $500 system
Xbox owns had a long drought before it so if I owned one console amd something new to play I would of bought it...it looked cool in 5 min videos
You dont have to patch it....
I do not work in the games industry but from what I read if your game gets below an 85 on metacritic alot of companys look at that as a failure and take it out on the devs who worked for years on the project. Doesnt seem right at all.
Wow so you mean the messagers saying press X to attack explains this game's depth and mechanics.../s. There is SO much more to Bloorborne combat and game systems that isnt told to the player ever. Yes you can figure these out or never do. If the devs point you in the right direction and then let you figure it out that is fantastic and I enjoy that in a game vs a 20min tutorial. In Bloorborne and Souls games they do not do this at all. There are a ton of vids talking about game mechanics a...
This why I think Microsoft blew with the Xbox One X. You got the most powerful console but you show Minecraft, Crackdown 3 and indies at your presentation running on it. Sony got the weaker system but shows GOW, Detroit, and Spiderman which all look graphically fantastic. So to the consumer its like who needs to pay an extra $100 for 1X when PS4 is pushing out more impressive looking games.
Not giving info and game mechanics is a con. I know it is standard for Souls games but I had to watch a youtube video to explain the game. That is a con.
Good review. I actually got like 10 hours into the game and quit. Once the enemies respawned I was like thats it I'm out!. I went back a year later, started a new character and weapon and...beat the game and loved every minute of it. So what changed? Well I recommend every new player watch a begginer tips video. Alot of the game's mechanics are not explained. Going in knowing this stuff makes the early part better. It actually gets easier later in the game. Yes the enemies get harder ...
Great Video...it's only 10 mins for those without the time TLDW: Almost every current game surpasses the KillZone 2 trailer in tech and graphics and will Next gen consoles showcase the graphics seen in the current tech demos.
Sony has been doing it with PC for a while. I can understand them not wanting to it other consoles because it does drive sales. Yes it's crappy if your friend owns and Xbox and you have a PS4, but if you have a PS4 and your friend is deciding between an Xbox or a PS4 not being able to play with him if he gets a Xbox is going to persuade him to buy a PS4. Simple business.
I love gaming on PC but prices on GPUs are insane right now and there is no end in sight
While some encounters were scripted. Alot of it showed off the new AI and is in the game. For example. Hiding under cars, being seen in grass if it is not tall enough. AI looking for you under cars, calling each other by name, running away or flanking. All that is going to make very tense great experiences. Just dont pick up arrows with a hammer swinging dude behind you!
