This fell off the radar for a bit so I'm glad to see it back in the news. Fingers crossed the soundtracks are all intact

I have no choice but to pull out the PS3 to play those games sometimes.
I think I could count towards that statistic because just this past October or so, I dusted off the OG PS3 to platinum Sonic Generations. My final time was like 9 years, 9 months to plat

I still think Sony perfected the UI with the PS3. The PS4 was okay, PS5 I'm still learning, but the PS3 was just so simple. I wish they went back to something similar to that.

After reading the article and watching the related clips (which I'm certain you did), how many times do you think he made this same mistake? Once?

If he happened to make the same mistake twice, then the actions taken would have merit?

What obligation does Activision (or any company, for that matter) have to pay this guy any money? They write these things into contracts.

He can still say whatever he wants.

Activision just doesn't need to finance it if they don't think it's going to make them money and--more importantly--is going to help them lose money.

Those consoles are basically being held hostage at this point.

If Sony, Amazon, Ebay and the other resellers were financially impacted by this negatively, then sure they'd step in. But until that happens, honest people who want one are screwed.

I mean if Activision is making this thing, they'll never leave money on the table. Of course it'll have a next-gen release.

Why are so many people trying so hard to make things confusing? You have to go out of your way to make this a problem big enough for a headline.

I think Sony and Nintendo have been really clear on who their audience is for years. Microsoft is still trying to carve out the right path for themselves, but it's good that they're making progress.

They started diverging awhile ago it feels like. Multiplayer-heavy games were their focus for most of the XB1 lifecycle, and a lot of their single-player attempts were subpar. It's good they're embracing it and they're chasing after a unique audience where e...

I was really excited last week for the PS5, but I saw those CDN software prices of 89.99 and it spooked me...I think I'm gonna wait until they announce a special edition console because I've literally never owned one but they always look so cool. I just hope I can hold back from picking one up before then! Might be tough...

Once I heard they were discontinuing them in the summer I snatched one up for about 300 bucks. For a 4k blu-ray player plus the enhancements I figure it'll serve as a good Series S replacement.

I assume MS discontinued them knowing full well it would either cause confusion among customers or result in people coming to the conclusion that the One X was more powerful than the Series S.

@Storm23 I went looking but couldn't find it. However, the Series X preorders list it as 599 CDN so expect that same price

I assume you're referring to the games at launch, but I'm honestly curious about the peripherals at this point. The remove and headset look slick.

That makes sense. Even from an aesthetic point of view, the disc version juts out and the DE is nice and symmetrical. It seems pretty clear they want to push the DE to succeed.

I'm actually sitting here contemplating the discless version...I mean, for 399, why not?

I actually bought this on its way out during the $99 fire sale back in 2001(ish). God I loved that thing. The console died in like 2002 but I actually played it all the way until I got my first PS3 in 08.

I always figured Series X was a placeholder like Project Scorpio...I still don't get the appeal of the name "Series"

After the smackdown MS got with the XBO reveal where Sony just slam dunked on them when the price was announced, I can see why they're a bit gun shy now. I expect they'd be willing to stretch this out until just about 1 month prior to release if they had do, and then that'll set some horrible precedent for the next wave of console releases.

I think it also won "Best new iPhone of 2020" as well.

The actual iPhone wasn't nominated.

why are you copy/pasting this? Also, why doesn't Apple do this for MacOS while they're at it? Would you also be cool with MS making you download all your apps strictly from their crappy app store?
